Review: Feet are not for kicking - This book is brilliant. I bought this for my pre-school (children aged 2-5yrs) the children love it. It is excellent for children of all ages; a short story with a simple message. After reading it once the children started repeating the phrase 'feet are not for kicking' and joined in with what they can and can't do with our feet. I would recommend this book to every parent! Great for reinforcing behaviour even if your child doesn't kick out in anger etc Review: Kicking - Good for explaining why children should not kick

Great little book to share with a little one
Speedy, efficient service. Great little book to share with a little one. We keep this book here, and others in the series, for parents/carers to borrow if they are having issues with their little one. Bright pictures and well written.

Well illustrated and fun covering a serious message.
I bought this book to help explain to my 2 year old son that Mama and Daddy are not there for him to kick whenever he wants to during a nappy change, getting dressed or generally when he is not getting something he wants. This book has gone a long way to rectifying that. He completely understands the message, as there are colourful pictures with enough words to explain the message, and it has helped him learn some new words too. He understands the concept now that kicking is not good behaviour.... doesn't always stick to that in his frustrations sometimes, but as soon as we say "Feet are not for kicking people" he will usually follow that with something written in the book, when we ask him what feet are for. I would recommend this book and using this one as the benchmark, I would definitely look at the other titles in the series, if I needed to get across another important message to my son.

rather than having to manage it - this book is a great book to share to explain what we would like ...
I'm manager of a children's nursery and believe in guiding children's behaviour, rather than having to manage it - this book is a great book to share to explain what we would like children 'to do', rather than what not to do.

Brilliant message
Extremely well written. Daughter was repeating ‘feet are not for kicking’ for days! It’s definitely helped us address some unkind behaviour towards her little brother.

Great product when I didn't know what else to try!
Bought this after nursery began using it with my little one while he's having a 'smacking and kicking' phase. Great simple concept he engages with. Nice advice in the back of the book. Really helped!

This book has been a great addition to our parenting toolbox. My toddler loves to explore the power of their feet—whether it's kicking toys, furniture, or, occasionally, me. This book gently reminds them that feet are better suited for walking, jumping, and dancing, not for playing demolition derby. What I appreciate most is how positive the tone is. It focuses on what feet can do, which helps redirect their energy instead of just saying "no" all the time. The pictures are colorful and engaging, and my toddler enjoys pointing to the feet on each page and declaring, "Feet!"—a small win in itself. We now refer to this book whenever there’s an incident, and while it hasn’t completely stopped the random karate-kick attempts, it’s definitely reduced them. If you’ve got a little one who treats their feet like their personal wrecking balls, this book is a must-read. Bonus: it’s short enough to reread without losing your mind!

This book is exactly as described and exceeded my expectations. It’s well-made, easy to use, and arrived quickly. I’ve been reading it regularly to my grandchildren and it’s made a noticeable difference. Great quality for the price—would definitely recommend!

My son is 22 months and has really started the “terrible twos”. This book has been enormously helpful. Has it stopped him from kicking during diaper changes? No. But we repeat back the lines in the book and it really helps! The first time we read this he was SO interested! In the last week I bought 4 more by this author. Big fan! Who’s recommend for young toddlers. Might be too simple for older toddler/ preschoolers.
