This is a very handsome and well-made sweater. The color looked amazing on my son, and he loved how soft and warm it is. The cables are handsome but subtle looking. They lay fairly flat compared to many other cabled sweaters. The zipper works well and is a great touch of style and function. It is quite warm and cozy. It can snag a bit which may lead to eventual pilling, so please be careful about that. This is my son's favorite sweater now. Any stiffness or scratchiness soon wears into a very soft and cozy sweater. It is sturdy and well-made. It is made out of synthetic fibers, so I imagine it will be prone to static cling and static electrical shocks under the right conditions, but he has not experienced any of that yet. Right now, it is a go-to sweater for around the house and light walks outside on mildly cool days. I might be inclined to rate it with a 4, but my son loves it so much that he insists that it earned a 5.

I really want to love this sweater but the zip seems so out of place on it. The cable knit looks great and the sweater fit well. It is not too heavy but definitely adds a nice layer of warmth for colder days. The quarter zip should make for an eye-catching sweater but for some reason, the zip is a bright gold. Maybe it is a regional difference but where I live in the Pacific north west, this look does not really work and I'll probably just wear this around the house, rather than out and about. A muted, silver zip would have worked much better and I hoped that was what this had. The pictures weren't really clear to tell but having it in person, it is clear the overly-gold zip does not really suit me. Otherwise, this is a nice sweater and looks and feels great but I had to dock it a star because in my opinion, the zip just does not go with it.
