Really silly question but do you clean the tank inside without taking any water out of the tank ?

I clean the inside during water changes - so with some of the water out, that way you can get right to the bottom without the concern that tank will overflow due to your arm being inside it.

What's the exact physical diamension & thickness of the pad & is it suitable for glass tank?

Hi, the cleaning pads are 8 cm all sides. Comparing the thickness I think I would say the size of a square piece of felt or folded paper. The quality is very good it's strong and not something you can just tear with your hands. Yes you can use it on glass tanks. I often use it inside the tank to get rid of stains and algae. You normally get one inside your filter pack or you purchase a pack separately.

Do they clean the outside of the tank also? Mine is in the kitchen so is a little harder to keep clean.

Hi, these pads works superbly at removing algae from the inside of the tank but they can also be used for the outside. You can dampen them to clean the outside or I do know that some people in kitchens/greasy areas use a separate pad for the outside and dip them in a vinegar solution to help clean up the outside - obviously ensuring none of the solution goes inside the bowl and keep the outside cloth completely separate from anything you use inside the bowl!
