QUICRUN WP 1080 G2 Brushed 2-3s ESC

The Hobbywing QUICRUN WP 1080 G2 ESC is a fantastic upgrade for brushed RC setups (TT-02). Its smooth and precise control brings a noticeable improvement in performance, making trail driving and crawling much more enjoyable. The programmable features are extensive and easy to adjust, and the waterproof design ensures reliability even in wet conditions. The build quality is excellent, and the operation is quiet and efficient.

All the programming options make this a fantastic upgrade. I put this into my SCX10ii along with Injora 21T brushed motor and am very happy with the performance. All you need is Hobbywing programming card and you can adjust a ton of different options to really optimize the performance of your crawler

Works great once I figured out you need a program card to program it the way you want it to work. So I would recommend when you buy it to get one if you dont already have one

I’ve only done some basic testing in a WPL C24-1KM so far, but it works identically to my original 1080 when set to the same settings. The slow crawl is still buttery smooth and the ESC is completely silent at 16K PWM. I’m only driving a 370 size motor, but I have zero doubts that it works just as smooth and precisely in a 540. The adjustable drag and real-drive mode work, I look forward to playing with these features some more! XT60 battery connector and bullet motor leads are standard. Seeing as my OG 1080 was buried under a hard body, I never felt how warm it got after running. This version claims to run cooler, so that would be a plus if it does! There are holes in the heat sink to accommodate a fan if additional cooling is needed. One thing to note: As advertised, this is the ESC and paper instruction booklet ONLY. No programming card, no baggie with shrink tube and double-sided tape, no goodies. The programming card can be bought separately or you can use the same one if you bought a G1.

Brushed crawler? Yeah, just buy this. It's cheap, adjustable, and does exactly what you need. I have 5. Get the frequency dialed in so it's nice and quiet, and set the drag brake to the car weight and boom, go play!

I really like the ease of setting up the Hobbywing 1080. It is a great size and gives me a lot of control over the function of my Crawlmaster motor. I have ordered another one for my 1/24 scale RC Crawler. Great price for all the functionality you get!

I recently built a Tamiya TT02 SRX and I used this ESC. Since I decided to use a brushed motor, this ESC is perfect. I love how it looks on my chasis. I also like that it can be programmed without the programming card. Instructions are easy to follow. On the programming, there is a very good one on YouTube. If you are using a brushed motor, this is the perfect ESC for you.

Smooth low-end control: Just like the original 1080, the throttle response is super smooth—perfect for crawling. You get precise control when creeping over rocks or tight spots. Real Car Mode: This new feature lets you switch motor direction on the fly using an open channel on your transmitter. It’s a neat touch, especially if you like a more scale driving feel. Drag brake adjust on the fly: You can now tweak drag brake strength in real time, which is super handy when terrain changes mid-run. That said, if you already have the original 1080 and don’t care about real-time drag brake or motor direction switching, the upgrade might not feel essential. I had bought version 1 of this esc a few years back for a trail finder 2 build. Now as I’m looking for escs for my trx4, I come across this thing! Turns out my old v1 program card works great on the v2 as well! I programmed it to my liking before evening trying it out. Now I absolutely love it! It’s in my 2021 bronco trx4 and is paired with the stock traxxas 21t motor. Night and day difference between this and the stock esc. I just wish there was a way to switch drag brake levels on the fly but unfortunately you have to go through the program menu every time to adjust parameters. Other than that, this esc is cool to the touch after running 3s on 21t. I’m impressed!

Bought this to replace FMS FJ40 OEM ESC. The original ESC was so jerky and very hard to control. This Hobbywing 1080 G2 is the perfect upgrade I have made for my RC. This can be immediately used WIThOUT programming it. I think it was pre-programmed to work with any RC crawlers, but if you want to modify the built-in program, then you can buy the programmer separately. Don't buy the

Used on a scx10iii and would buy again for sure. Easy to re-program if desired, much more control over the stock esc. Would recommend this for any 1/10 rig using a brushed motor.
