Polk Monitor XT10 Home Subwoofer, 10" Deep Bass Woofer, 100W Class D Amplification, Dolby Atmos, Auro 3D & DTS:X Compatible, Black

This sub is great for the price. Get it on black friday and save some money. Most of the equivalent subs of this size are 300+ bucks. A little misleading though, measuring from the edge of the rubber from one side to the other side of the speaker is about 8 inches not including the 1/4 in area for the screw holes. So to me this is more of a 8” sub and overall is the size of yamahas 8” sub. Not complaining though, i do like the more compact size as subs used to have huge heavy boxes in the past. This one says 23lbs so not bad overall. Its your typical black vinyl veneer look and comes with power cord and instructions. Basic controls are power switch, phase switch, volume, low pass filter and the lfe or stereo rca jack inputs. Most people will like the phase switch at 0 as it matches their other speakers phase, but i say try both ways and see what you like. Thats it and its simple and perfect for entry level sound systems. You will need a sub cable which is a single rca male to rca male. Im using it for my computer and have a douk ampapa 300w amp with upgraded muses 02 opamps and sony cs5s that i purchased a few black fridays ago at a great price. The ampapa amp has a mini 3.5 jack output and using the polk lfe rca input. The polk has an adjustable low band filter so will cross this sub over at about 80hz as to me thats the cleanest sounding xover point. Anyways, overall if you want a lower cost decent sound for your stereo or even computer or tv, this setup is great for a small to medium size room. Review for height monitor x190, got these on black friday as well. I have 6 wharfedale diamond bookshelfs and center with a sub for my main tv hooked up to my onkyo rz50. It has outs for atmos height so after reading reviews got this on black friday sales. Overall a very simple maybe 3 inch full range driver in an angled mdf box. It has a nice grayish color grill and speaker posts that accept wire or banana plugs so simple install. I need to se up my dirac live settings then will update review. Other then that. Speaker looks fine in quality but super simple design so get them on sale.

One word, value. I have an SVS-1000 and I get similar bass quality from this Polk XT10. I’ve been very impressed with this sub. Fits perfectly under the desk, works perfect with my NXZT pc speakers. Excellent power, ease of setup, sound quality, range, durability, and looks modern and professional. Love Polk. My main living setup has been Polk for years now. You go Polk!

I have hardwood floors and this downward firing speaker works great! I just ordered a second one to pair with it. It works great for me as I sit close to it for 4k gaming. The sound is amazing for gaming to me.

The sounds is beautiful - man I have really been missing out the past few years - and setup was a breeze. Auto on works just like you think it would, a bonus is that it stays on for a bit even after the signal drops out so it doesn't miss anything. While it isn't timbre matched to the other speakers, they are all Polks and seem to drop seamlessly into my setup (Signature Elite S20/30). However. Take it out of the box I can hear and feel it delaminating on one corner. Time will tell if that gets worse or I just forget about it (hopeful for the latter). Thankfully it's on the side where it's almost touching my TV stand and after the initial inspection, my cat has deemed it unimportant. As it doesn't really affect anything, only taking off 1 star. (The cat is specifically why I have this sub: down firing and no fabric on the front.) Oh, and in case this saves someone a minute of frustration: make sure your amp has the sub turned ON if you didn't have one connected before (and your amp requires speaker setup). I didn't initially and was very confused why it wan't plug and play!

Great subwoofer for the price, really underestimated it until I actually turned it on, still hits your chest even at lower volumes and at max you'll rattle your house

My 14-year old Boston Acoustics subwoofer died a few months ago, but I didn't know if it was the subwoofer itself, or the receiver's subwoofer output. I didn't have a way to troubleshoot it, but finally I got tired of hearing music without a sub, so I bit the bullet and bought this subwoofer without knowing what the defective component was. Turns out that it was the subwoofer. My ears are happy now! I live in an apartment with people below me and above me, so I don't need anything that will blast the apartment complex away. A subwoofer shouldn't be the dominant speaker that rumbles 24/7. It's supposed to blend with the other speakers and sound like the bass is coming out of the main speakers. This subwoofer does a great job at doing that. I'm really happy that I don't have to buy a receiver, but I was willing to if the problem was the receiver. Anyway, this is a great speaker if you're not worried about it not being loud enough.

I ordered this Polk Audio subwoofer because my wife wanted more bass when watching movies or listening to music or concerts. I previously owned a Polk Audio PSW10 and it had wonderful window rattling bass, I gave the PSW10 away and have regretted that as a dumb decision. When I needed a subwoofer this time, I passed on getting another PSW10 because giving one away that was great and then buying another one of the same model seemed very dumb to me. Instead I opted for this subwoofer because I trust Polk Audio. I connected this to my surround system and WOW what a sound, a wonderful deep bass! Easy set up and easy adjustments and did I mention the wonderful deep bass. Money well spent!
