I’ve been using LaCie drives for a number of years now and they have been nothing short of reliable and sturdy. Plug and play ready, easy to setup and use, and most importantly easy on the pocket book. They are not cheap, but they are so worth the money. The large capacity is perfect for daily backups and is multi system compatible.

Excellent design which I have not seen in any portable hard drive. It is big in size and those of you who are used to slim SSDs manage your expectations. Nothing special in functionality, it just works.

inspire of not liking Seagate products, I do like this LaCie's product (I have had a Lacie hard drive that I loved dearly, but I accidentally dropped). This drive is easy to use and cute in its black case. Being solid state, I can be more relaxed handling it.

This has been a solid drive for backing up pics on Mac mini

I need extra storage for my photography buisness this harddrive was the best investment I have gotten for my company I got the 4TB and barely used 1TB so far, that's even with moving all my exisiting files on my iMac.

This drive does not work with Time Machine as it does not recognize when it is time to backup system. This is a complete waste of money, Stay away

Ich nutze das LaCie Mobile Drive Moon mit 2TB jetzt seit einiger Zeit und bin rundum zufrieden. Das Design ist wirklich hochwertig – das silberne Aluminiumgehäuse sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern fühlt sich auch sehr stabil an. Passt perfekt zu MacBooks, macht aber auch an Windows-PCs eine gute Figur. Die Einrichtung war absolut unkompliziert: anschließen und loslegen. Die Festplatte wird sofort erkannt und arbeitet zuverlässig. Die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist für eine mobile HDD völlig ausreichend, egal ob Fotos, Videos oder größere Backups. Besonders für unterwegs oder als Backup-Lösung ist sie ideal. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auch die kompakte Größe – sie passt problemlos in jede Tasche. Zudem arbeitet sie angenehm leise und wird nicht heiß. Fazit: Wer eine schicke, solide und zuverlässige externe Festplatte sucht, macht mit der LaCie Mobile Drive Moon 2TB definitiv nichts falsch. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
