What is the optimum height at which to install the light?

it doesnot matter if you are walking towards it . mine is side on at 7ft and sometimes the sensor misses the wife this is not a fault its just i replaced an existing light so electric connection was already in place . she just puts her hand in the air . wife is 5ft 6

does this light have dusk till dawn light sensor so it only works at night

The light level can be set so it only works at night. The PIR sensitivity can be set during daylight. The lamp is all plastic but of good quality, much better than my previous metal ones. The back plate is mounted and wired up first and the lamp plugged into it.

Can this light be run in parallel with other lights? Ie one PIR triggers all lanterns to turn on?

I have no idea how the wiring works, but having had mine fitted by an electrician, I can say most positively that my one sensor swirches two of thes laterns on. I can also manually switch them both on, irrespective of the sensor useage. Have only had them for a few months, but absolutely satisfied. Trevor

Can you override the PIR and switch on permantly ?

Yes it can if fitted via a on/off wall switch as show in the instructions
