The bread size is too small it won’t take our home baked bread, but if the bread fits it’s a brilliant piece of kit, another inch wider and you would sell a lot more, including me

I can cut fairly thin and very thick slices with this. I would prefer something just between the two. However the device works if you are relatively careful and don’t rush.

Worked well until the handle that guides the knife snapped off. I guess that’s the downside to it being made from plastic. I easily used a small drillbit and reattached it with very small screws, which has made it more secure but obviously a little less aesthetic

Far too flimsy for the task. Couldn’t keep the knife straight enough for an even cut. Also the guides are spaced so that the slices are very thick. Returned for a refund

I make a lot of homemade bread. I prefer it to the shop bought loaves. I got fed up of having wonky cut slices and only managing to get 5 slices out of a loaf. This has made it so much easier. There are many different variations of this product to buy. Some plastic, some wood. I decided to give this one a try. And I’m so glad I did. It’s a reasonable price and easy to use. And when not in use it’s quite compact to store.

Great item , and is perfect for slicing evenly slices of bread

I've had this bread slicer guide for about 6 months now. The first problem I encountered was that the loaf produced from my bread maker is about 5 mm wider than what the slicer can take. I literally have to squeeze the loaf to force it in to cut. It would appear that the calibration of this slicer is slightly too narrow for bread making machines. With regard to bread thickness adjustment the first setting I find the bread sliced is too thin and the next setting is thicker than I would have liked. As a result I mainly use this unit for making toast. The plastic is brittle and within a few uses the knife guard broke on one side. I tried super glue but it didn't take well and eventually the other side of the guard snapped off. The unit is very flimsy and cheaply made which is a shame as the idea of it is good, especially if you bake all your own bread. The design could be so much better and so could the quality. I wouldn't buy another one of these knowing the problems I've had. Will just have to look for something that may cost more and is more robust, better designed and longer lasting.
