Excellent battery.
You can not beat these batteries. More expensive than some, but worth the extra cost. Excellent battery.

I read the other reviews and was concerned that several reported receiving weak or even dead on arrival batteries. I received 4 batteries in a tiny resealable clear plastic bag with no markings. The batteries have no date markings and are almost certainly were purchased in bulk and repackaged. I checked the voltage on each and got readings of 12.52-12.54 volts. This would be an average of 1.57 volts for each of the eight cells in each of the A23 batteries. Energizer (and other brands) of AA and AAA single cell alkaline batteries have new no-load voltages typically in the range of 1.55 - 1.62 volts. Since all four of the batteries I received were essentially identical in voltage, I figure they are pretty fresh since old unused batteries would have have much more variation within the same batch. Also, with an average of 1.57 volts per internal cell, there's a good chance these are identical in manufacture to the Energizer A23 you would get in a retail blister pack. I found some detailed specification sheets produced by Energizer which gave specs for a variety of their battery products. For the A23, they gave a shelf life of just two years. For AA, AAA, and other formats, the shelf life was 5-10 years. There must be something in the chemistry or design of the A23 that leads them to quote such a relatively short shelf life. In any case, I got four fresh high quality Energizer batteries. I am happy and I hope my remote will be happy too. This may be more than you wanted to know but there is a significant market for old, unused name brand and no-name batteries. Most were advertised as having expiration dates in 2016 meaning they were probably manufactured in 2012 or before. Some were listed with expiration date in 2013. Of course, the more out-of-date, the lower the price. Some were selling at 90-95% off the typical new bulk battery prices. It's easy to see how you could get nearly dead batteries sold as repackaged unused bulk batteries. That did not happen to me with this purchase.

Out of 4 batteries used 1 battery and it only worked for 2 weeks in gate motor remote. This battery normally works for more than 6 months. Now need to use second battery and see the results.
