Mastering Manga 3: Power Up with Mark Crilley

As with the first two mastering manga books Mark really shines. Still easy to follow while presenting a few challenges to keep things interesting. It goes more in depth on dynamics while showing you subtlety and how positioning and emphasis greatly affects the feeling you get from a picture, stylistic choices and much more. Truly a wonderful series, whether drawing for fun or for your own manga illustrations and comic series' you can definitely power up your manga art.

If you want to start on the right foot apprenticeship is a good route. This series is like an apprenticeship in your pocket, a solid foundation to build your own creations. So many creative people find they have eclectic impulsive interest focus switching issues, jumping to whatever peaks interest at a moments notice. Having a framework like these books can help a lot... Shiny really really interesting things excepted of course. :)

And we're on Book 3. Mark still surprises me in the way he brings the rising artist what he needs and when he needs it.

I have the other 2 books in this series. Easy to follow and understand. Slightly more complex in this book but if you have Mastering Manga 1 & 2 this is essential for making the best drawings you can

Got the 1 and 2... my daughter couldn't wait for number 3. She loves them and is really getting on with her drawings.

Great easy to follow

The book is great, it tackle a lot of different styles, types of caracters and has a complete section only for poses but this book is NOT for beguinners I recommend buying one of the first 2 books before going after this one

Excellent book

So you look at your art after reading the first two books and thought well I'm really good almost professional, but I want to get better and "power up" so I... can... go beyond... even further... - DBZ then this is the book for you as Mark teaches you different manga styles, how tom make a logo and much more, this book is really only meant for those who want to become a comic creator who draws manga for a living (or as a side job) then this book is almost a necessity and lastly, go to this authors youtube channel for much more tips if you want.

I bought this book without hesitation mostly because I was so happy with Mark Crilley's first two book in this series. (I hope he makes a 4th) Again, Mark takes it one next level, improving techniques for a more advanced style while still not rushing things through the book. More advanced poses, character interactions and character types are covered in the book as well as some techniques to help you speed up your drawing a little bit. There's also tips and coverage of scenery, shadowing and backgrounds, some clothing and costume tips and coloring covered. I recommend this book for those of you who are pretty good already, but are stuck on how to improve your art and bring it to the next level, although I did debate as to whether to give it 4 or 5 stars for a bit because I felt there could be a little bit more in this one.

This book takes artists to a new level . This book is that thing needed for manga artists to improve their drawings . This book is one of its kind.it is an excellent book.
