This winch is definitely built like a tank. It weighs about 43lbs with nothing else, no control box or added accessories. Install went smoothly. The wires are thick but pretty flexible. Did a short pull to retract the line, winch isn’t that loud but it might be under load. Functions pretty well. The remote has little winch icons with a up and down arrow. The arrows are so tiny that it’s hard to tell which is which. It’s a nice idea but could be better executed. Remote comes with spare battery. To charge the remote, it has to be plugged into the winch. Having a 12v adapter would be nice addition to charge the remote. The owners manual is done quite nicely, for a Chinese made winch, the English grammar and verbiage is well done. Hardware is nice and thick. Although there’s some variation in the finish. I used an Agency 6 winch shackle instead of the hook it came with. The hook it came with is beefy, weighs over 2lbs. I hope this won’t let me down when I need it, time will tell.

Very happy with the fit and function so far! As some people have mentioned, it does come with blue stickers on it that aren't shown in the listing but for my application it didn't matter. It is very well made and I can't wait to put it to the test! It's $150 cheaper than a HF winch so very good price. The wireless remote is nice and will charge the internal battery if plugged into the winch with the included cable. The perko switch was a very nice touch! It is about the same noise level as the Apex 12k do not too loud but expect it to be louder than a 5k utv winch. The draw speed is very nice also! Overall I'm impressed with this winch for the price!

I got the Tank 13K which is really 13.5K and it’s great. I originally installed it on my F-250 and did several recoveries with it and it’s as strong as a Tank. Now I put it on my new Jeep Rubicon Gladiator which is a much lighter truck than my Ford. I’ve pulled trees down and bushes up out of the ground with this Winch and it has never let me down. I don’t have any real complaints but I do wish there was a way to charge the remote other than plugging it into the winch. It would be great if RUGCEL would offer a cigarette lighter power port adaptor so you could charge it inside the vehicle. If you’re hung up on name brands I totally understand that but if you just want a dang great winch that works great and looks great without the high name brand price this guy won’t disappoint you!

Product arrive broken. 6 emails to the company ZERO responses!!! Took a deeper dive. Company is terrible! Amazon Choice is BS!!!! Amazon (because more than 30 days before I could install) DID NOTHING TO SUPPORT OR ADDRESS THE ISSUE! terrible for Amazon aswell because their CS covers for a company like this!!! A rating of one star is 3 too many!!! Stay away from this product and company!! USE WALMART!!!

I just installed this and it seemed very straight forward, for me. I have installed a few of these over the years so it was fairly simple to install. The package came intact without any damage to the box or the internal items. All items were there and has a great booklet with decent instructions. I like the design and how it fit into the rig. I will be testing this out in the next few weeks and will come back and update my review. The only question/concern I have is that the wired/wireless controller is one in the same and seems to work great. They sent a battery that I assume is for the controller and the controller is already working wireless....the only question that I have yet to answer is "How do I charge the battery for the controller?". There is nothing in the documentation that speaks to it, if the extra battery is for the controller (logic says yes), how long the battery will last. The concern here is how does one keep the spare battery with you and not lose it and how long will the wireless last? Can you buy spare batteries for the controller? I will try and add some pics shortly.

So far so good. Wireless remote works great and I know it pulls at least 6k. Ill update as I use it more.

This winch worked fairly well up until it didn't. I was winching on a Ford 1 ton when the bolts that hold down the winch ripped out of the bottom of one side of it. Caused the winch to twist breaking all of the casting between the two halves and allowing the drum to almost rip out of the center. I was only winching on a Ford 1 ton with nothing in the back. This should have been an easy pull for a 13,000 lb winch.

The winch looks ok But Something dont explaint on the book what is and how to conect... also a missing cable ..
