Quality straw suitable for many uses. Very economical, highly compressed
I use this for growing mushrooms. You get a lot in the very highly compressed bale. It really is full and takes some pulling to get handfulls out. Good quality straw with little or no dust. I will buy another bail when this one runs out be there is really alot of it.

5kg goes a long way!
Bought this to put round my strawberry plants grown for the first time, so unsure how much would be needed. Covering an area 1.5m x 1.5m I only used about 10 to 15% of the bag. The barley straw is certainly soft and cut to a reasonable length. It is packed very tightly into the plastic bag so is not particularly easy to extract. My only gripe is there must be a loot of barley seeds mixed in as I now have a mini field of barley growing around the strawberries! Scored low on value for money as I eventually found the same product in a local plant nursery for half the price.
