I received my Jeep's hood latches earlier than I originally expected. They are in pristine condition. The instructions are plain and simple. We are in our 70's and even we can put them on.

These are amazing! I bought these for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler because my latches were getting loose and the hood would lift with the wind of driving especially on the freeway. Since we installed these, which took some work, the hood doesn’t budge at all. It holds the hood super secure and nice and tight where it needs to be. These were great for the price! I would highly recommend these if you need to replace yours and they look amazing! The amount of work to instal was definitely worth it for the security you get on the hood!

I was skeptical, but these are very heavy duty. No more flutter. Easy to install if you have some wobble extensions. Highly recomended.

Would be 4 stars, but I have three criticisms. 1: Although I didn't need the instruction to install these on our JLU, I did need the instructions to find out if there was a simple method to adjust the amount of engagement. The instruction for this made no sense. It shows to rotate the latch to increase or decrease the tension. How the heck the latch is supposed to rotate when there is no means for it to rotate. The only way to adjust the tension, or amount of engagement, is to first install and tighten the top catch, check the fit, measure or memorize the amount of error, then loosen the two mounting screws and move the catch by that amount. 2: Included in the package were four cheap looking plastic parts. The instructions call them a safety feature. I had to work out where they located. They do work, but I don't see them lasting very long. 3: The instructions call for the bumper to be removed from the old part and installed on theirs (now mine). Well, first, removing the bumper is not easy. So before forcing it off, I studied the part. There is no way that it would fit onto this new part. And, even if it did, the gap between the new latch and catch is too wide for it to do anything. The OEM latches lock shut when the two parts contact each other, with the rubber bumper being slightly compressed. With these latches, they lock together by both the hood compressing the hood bumpers and the cheap plastic safety detail locking the latch in the closed position. Another reviewer had one of the catches break while driving. So, I'm a bit concerned about the reliability of these parts.

I love hood latches, I was able to have them stripped and powder kote painted. This was so they match my specialty hinges. The only issue the instructions aren't the best, and you need a socket but it doesn't give sizes.
