Had to replace the handle on my recliner couch in order to put my feet up. Found a video on YouTube that explained everything (tried to link it, but was not allowed). This is a very sturdy piece, not plastic, that comes with everything you need. So nice to have the couch working again. This piece did not come with instructions.

Have a sectional from Biglots for 2 years before the plastic lever broke internally. But this one is all metal and works perfectly. Buying another for the other recliner before it goes too.

Love that this is a sturdy metal. Idk if I would call it universal. I had to move all the fuzz out of the way, cover it with a towel, and wack it with a hammer to get it into place. VERY tight fit. It works tho!

Who knew fixed a recliner could be so easy. This part came on time packaged well and was so simple to do I would recommend.

7/23/25 Edit - Cable wire broke at handle. Purchased another one and installed today. My thought is cable not thick enough. Or, it needs to be more gingerly handled. One installation note is the plastic piece about 5 inches at end of cable (opposite of handle area) needs to be last inserted for better assemblage.. Original review: Takes awhile to install but the Amazon video shows how to connect the cable to the handle. Measured the old handle which is exact as this one and magically the cable length was the same. Taped the new cable to the old one and pulled it from the handle opening through the side of the chair as most difficult to thread the new one from the handle area to the bottom of the chair. The new handle does not come with screws. The metal handle is nice but the old cable broke at the handle because it was too flimsy. New cable seems more sturdy. Again, look at video to connect cable to handle. Great value, inexpensive, a must to try before buying a new chair. It’s Universal but worked like a champ.

I'm a 65yr old retired female chef with minimal experience to fixing anything 😆......and I was able to replace cable AND handle with the help of....YouTube video. The only hiccup I had was...... Getting old cable detached from "clip" as I was afraid to break it. The NEW part has its own new clip, which helped tremendously. The other thing is.... the cable and handle are two separate parts, and I had to find a video that showed EXACTLY how to connect the two. There are zero instructions in box. Once I found tutorials on both subjects ( connect hand to cable; and install new cable ) it was easy peasy ...... chair reclines!!!!!!!! This product is exactly as described, if not better. I EASILY recommend THIS product for repairing a recliner that doesn't recline. No need to purchase new chair, just order this $11 part !!!!! BIG PLUS+++...THIS repair/replacement handle is made of METAL, not cheap plastic that originally came with my recliner........SHOULD LAST FOREVER ☺️

Make sure you measure your part to be replaced before ordering…apart from that,it’s a perfect fit
