This little meter works fantastically. Strips costs a lot less than my other meter brand . Great value for the $ would recommend to anyone who wants to track ketones.

I am a ketogenic dieter for a while and regularly check my blood ketones. I have tried some other similar products and found this one more accurate than the others and the strips need very little blood to work comparing to other similar ones.

When you are a type two diabetic and maintaining a good blood sugar by lifestyle and a ketogenic diet, then you become fat adapted. That pretty much means your body is efficient at using ketones, so using urinalysis strips does not really give an accurate measurement. This Meter is no more difficult than a blood glucose meter, but it is a little more complicated in that it does require a chip calibrated to the test strips. Forewarned that the test strips are more expensive. I won’t be testing frequently, only when I know I have had a decently long fast and want to assure myself that I am in ketosis. The meter works very well, and I plan to use it to maintain a positive attitude.
