Good knives

I have a set of Robert Welch Signature knives and a handful of Victorinox also. I have never gotten on with my 21cm Victorinox knife as the blade is too flexible for me and was looking for the 20cm Robert Welch to add to my collection when I saw this. I bought it on a lightning deal for £29.99 and took a bit of a punt as I have never heard of the company and their English on their listing is pretty poor which in my experience usually doesn't bode well... The knife arrived well packaged in a nice cardboard presentation box which you would be pleased to receive as a gift. The knife is well balanced and has en extremely comfortable handle. The blade is broad (much boarder than my Robert Welch or Victorinox of the same size) but this is a good thing as it gives you plenty of area for smashing garlic/picking up chopped onions etc. Despite its size it is not overly heavy compared to my other knives and my wife was happy using it this morning although the blade is a little on the long side for her. I have signed up to their mailing list as I will be buying whatever size paring & utility knife they decide to launch in this series. I am sure this will become a fast favourite in the knife block. I would have no hesitation buying this instead of a knife twice its cost.

I own and shatpen alot of knives aswell as kitchen knives and the quality, steel, balance and edge of this knife is definately worth £100 so £40 is a bargain. Shame its a gift for someone...
