UTC Kantali - Fragrance for Women - 55ml Parfum de Toilette, made by Milton-Lloyd

Lovely fragrance! Kind of spicy, woody, oriental, warm, peppery with a hint of sweetness when it's been on a little while. I've bought this a few times now as it's great value for money. It's not overpowering and the scent lasts nigh on all day. Always sprays well, not too much all at once - just a fine mist. One of my favourites...and generally a permanent feature in my fragrance collection.

This really does smell rich, elegant and very expensive. I feel very elegant wearing this and a little spray lasts forever. Have bought over and over.

Well, this smelled enough like Opium for me to happily wear it. Obviously, it isn’t as strong, nor as long lasting, but quite adequate for a cheap knock-off version to liberally wear to work in this current heatwave. My only gripe, is that the contents inside the bottle doesn’t last long at all. I’m not sure if that’s because of the spray nozzle releasing too much fragrance in one squirt. A bottle of this perfume lasts me a week or so, even when I use it as sparingly as possible. I’ve had several different fragrances from UTC, all of which are used up super quickly. To me though, they’re worth a punt, as I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices charged by the big beauty brands for my favourite perfumes...Opium, Poison, Chanel No 5.

I was looking for something that smelled of feminine musk, but something that didn't smell like cheap hairspray. I bought this with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It smells like the kind of perfume the rich ladies wore back in my childhood on nights out. Its rich and musky, with a classic hint of sandalwood. Whilst it has a slightly masculine smell, once it settles on your skin it also gives off a delicate clean talc scent. It definitely smells more expensive than it is. The only downside is the spray pump. I expected it to spritz onto my neck, but instead it came out as a wide thick mist that pretty much went all over my face. Putting it directly on the pulse points isn't easy, so I mist it over my clothes instead. Whilst I will likely buy this again because it smells so grown up and divine, I really wish they would change the spray nozzle.

I bought this because according to many reviewers it was supposedly an Opium imitation. I can only speak from experience of the bottle I received, but this is about as close to Opium as cheese is to chalk. Not even the slightest trace of Opium. It is quite pleasant, especially considering the price, but smells more like a nice talc than a perfume. There is zero control of the spray. Best to step out of the bath, hold it at arm's length and spray - it will cover you from head to toe in a very nice clean and fresh fragrance, which will last about as long as talc does.

Fabulous perfume I get many many compliments. Thrilled with it as very affordable too!

I was looking for a cheaper version of Opium in these cash strapped times, love the original but the price seems to have shot up. I have a little original left so thought I could use this as a more cheap Jack version, to use alongside a tiny drop of the original. I wasn’t expecting much after reading reviews but for just over a fiver thought it worth a punt and if it was manky could use it as a room spray. Actually pleasantly surprised, it’s not as rich as Opium but reminds me of a lighter version, it definitely has the same sort of smell about it. Scent doesn’t hang on as long as the original but it stays a fair while. Glad I bought it and will buy again.

Absolutely fantastic for not being a brand name perfume. Smell very much the same as opium and last as almost as long through out the day. Great value for money and my every day go to.

It's definitely a must have if you like Poison from ysl

Düfte sind zwar Geschmacksache, aber m.M. nach ist dieser sehr ausgefallen und voluminös - man riecht ihn nicht an Jederfrau/-Mann.

Ce petit parfum sent très bon ! Il fait penser un peu a la première version d'opium YSL, et est agréable . Il est assez épicé et riche, et il faut en mettre peu .. c'est un bon achat pour un tout petit prix,et il fait bien son travail ! Je recommande !

Muy parecido al vintage de Opium YSL (1977), muy complicado de encontrar hoy en día. He olido otras fragancias que tratan de imitarlo pero esta es la que más se acerca y con más finura. Kantali tiene esa salida cítrica y especiada, el corazón de flores intensas con canela y un fondo dominado por resinas, sobre las que destacan el incienso y la mirra, con un toque amaderado. Opium es el perfume oriental por antonomasia y en Kantali está muy bien reproducido.
