Would this be a good product for wet areas in a backyard? We've tried everything- adding dirt, planting grass, grading. Nothing seems to work.

As on other answer, it's all about the soil composition. If the soil is hard clay all the way through it still will not drain properly even with the flo-well. If area is a low area and staying wet even after proper grading, then there may be a chance of a spring or just least resistant area for water to flow to.

Can you just use the well and no pipes?

You would need some way to direct the water to the tank, Once you get water to the tank there are no other pipes needed. In my application I had a pipe running downhill to another tank.

Is a NDS TT-24 Tufftrack at bottom of Flo-well needed? Why? Why not?

We lined a 4' foot deep hole with landscaping cloth and put about six inches of clean stone on the bottom and around the well. It works great.

How does this hold up from collapsing after backfill over time?

The side panels interlock to prevent it from collapsing in, but the top piece is what keeps everything aligned and in place.
