Review: 2 Week Review + 3 Month Review + 18 Month Review - I started with a back strain that was over a month old and kept reoccurring, sciatica that was beginning to become a regular issue and an overall bad mood from constantly being on painkillers. 2 weeks on and I have no back strain, no sciatica and no painkillers. The back strain was gone in 3 days, the sciatica in around a week and the painkillers were gone a few days later. If you can afford it get the lumbar bridge, you won’t regret it. I’ve used the table at no more than a 45 degree angle so far as my back has been dodgy my whole life, I don’t want to over stress it. 45 degrees was more than enough, some days I just laid flat on the lumbar bridge, such a good feeling to be able to just separate the spine for 5-10mins. In all honesty I use it so little I kind of feel like I’ve paid a lot of money for a one wear prom dress but I have to remind myself that if and when I hurt my back, this thing will be amazing, again. I’ll continue to use it to lay and relax on, it’s reeeeaaaallllyyyy nice. 3 Month Review: Just WOW! I'm a physically different person now, seriously! I've tweaked my back a couple of time in the last 3 months and both times during the week, when I literally have time for 5 minutes on it before bed. On both occasions what would have been at least two weeks of pain turned into 1 day of pain until I got home and another of a little soreness. After that my back was like nothing had happened. This thing will be with me for the rest of my life. 18 Month Review: I haven’t HAD to use it for over a year now. I have used it but to relax, and shut the missus up about it lying around not being used. I’ll toss her before I toss this lmao... For what it’s worth, I actually had a herniated disk in my lower back. Not anymore. Review: I bought the teeter inversion table as a gift for my mom, here is her review: I am a 48 year old woman, who is/was in good physical condition. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) of the L5-S1. I as also have a herniated disc at L3- L4 and Sacro-iliac pain. I have suffered tremendous pain for over 15 years. The last 2yrs have been horrendous however. I was instructed by my doctors to stopped jogging, skiing and almost all sports and activities necessitating bending or twisting of the spine. Pain is so difficult to describe as it is as unique as each one of us. For me my pain Is there as soon as my lower back muscles are in a resting or laying down position. It’s like my vertebrae stiffens up and getting up without support is simply impossible. I must NOT put any weight on my spine or surrounding muscles after they have relaxed. Pulling myself in the standing position is so painful and so scary, I feel like I am going to paralyse if I attempt it. It truly feels like someone has stabbed me in my lower spine. Turning in my sleep during the night is just excruciating. In order to get dressed In the morning, I stack my clothes next to me on my night table the night before, and I get dressed in the AM while laying on my back, legs up with my feet in the air. I don’t drink anything past 17:00 for fear of having to get up to pee in the middle of the night. God forbid should I sneeze or cough. Thank goodness, the pain does subside after about 15 minutes of moving about s l o w l y ... Then, once the DDD pain dissipates, I am left with the Sacro-iliac pain, that is constant 24/7. I have tried numerous attempts at fixing and relieving the pain. (Doctors, Anti-inflamation meds, osteopath, chiropractor, acupuncture, physiotherpay, therapeutic massages), to no avail. Acupuncture helped the most, but it doesn’t fix the issue, just helps me manage the pain. Then came the teeter.... My son got me this odd looking thing for Christmas. My husband put it together in about 40 minutes (easy peasy if you follow the instructions, WATCH THE DVD PEOPLE!!!). He adjusted the inversion table to my height and weight and I started hanging upside down at the 40% incline right away. From the get go I felt surprised at the relief I felt. I feel more mobile after a 3 minute session. I have been using it for two weeks now. Much to my surprise, my sacro-iliac pain seems to be gone 90% of the time. I am afraid to say that out loud, lol... My DDD pain is alright. It feels different, but I don’t want to comment as of yet as it is too soon to write about. I guess when I get to 90 degree incline, I will update my comments. I am taking it slowly as my condition is severe. All in all I see the benefits of this machine. It re-energizes me some. My physiotherapists agrees if I feel better to keep using it. Storage: it stores well. I fold it up after each use (lack of space ). I wobble it back against a wall. I am a small person and have no issues opening and closing it. Because of my specific condition, after hanging like a bat for 5 minutes, getting back into the standing position has to be done in steps. Standing upright would put the weight of my body on my back vertebrae’s and I simply cannot do that. So, I stay in the in level position or 0 degree position for a minute and then stand back up with legs slightly bent for another few minutes. The hardest part for me, is getting the feet clasp undone. It’s simply too much bending and I cannot do on my own. So I ask the hubby to standby in order to help me out of the contraption. I really recommend this inversion table. I am certain I am just scratching the surface at this point. For once, I feel like there is possibly a light at the end of my dark tunnel. Thanks Mr Teeter for this invention.

Having owned both tables I decided to write a comparison. But before you buy here's a quick exercise tip (if you are able to do safely and interested, otherwise skip to 1 below): the only thing that really helped me was doing Roman or Romanian chair back extensions. I did substitute exercises such as supermans and good mornings; however, I still had back pain and used inversion tables. After doing body weight Roman chair back extensions only a couple of times, I was mostly pain free and haven't used my inversion table in 6 months. My back is not fine or back to normal by any means but it feels a lot better and doing planks is also helpful but not a sub for back extensions in my experience. 1) Setup (Teeter better) - Teeter setup is more like plug and play although there are a few bolts. Ironman is more like assembling IKEA furniture. It wasn't too difficult but took me an hour vs. 20 min. 2) Portability (Teeter significantly better) - this was the main reason I gave Ironman 4 stars instead of 5 and almost gave 3. It is very heavy and unwieldy and hard to move (or walk) on my own. I could do it once in a while but it was a huge pain to do so every time. Also, although Ironman's a-frame folded I found it difficult to move it in the folded position due to the table wanting to rotate. Although I admit, I didn't experiment with sliding the leg extension rod all the way up. Teeter, although still heavy, is much easier to move in the folded position and it folds in a neat way. Overall, if you have a smaller space and need to put the table away frequently, it's much easier to do with Teeter. 3) Ease of use (Ironman a little better) - I found Ironman a little easier to use at first because it tends to return to starting position more easily. For Teeter, I played with different settings but mostly adjusted my technique of slight knee bend. Overall, it's not a big deal but took me a few times to get used to. 4) Comfort (similar) - The tables have different surfaces and lumbar supports but overall, I cannot say one table is more comfortable than the other, with the right adjustments, they are pretty close, perhaps a tiny edge to Teeter. 5) Support for various body types (Ironman probably better) One additional item that wasn't in the original review - I just had someone who weights more than 220 lbs (with more weight in the mid-section) use my Teeter and perhaps it was because we didn't adjust the settings correctly but the table seemed a bit unstable and it was more difficult for that person to return to the starting position. I think Ironman might be better suited in this situation. I still leave my 5 star rating for Teeter. I sold my Ironman for about half price because I was moving to a smaller place and am very happy with Teeter. Obviously $100 difference is a lot of money for some people but if you live in a smaller place that may require frequent moving of the inversion table, I strongly recommend saving yourself a huge pain and getting Teeter if you are deciding between the two.

I purchased the Teeter EP 560 after looking at them for several years. My sister has the upgraded version and loved it so I finally decided to get one for me. I am definitely happy with this purchase as it has decreased the number of visits I make to the chiropractor. I have lower back issues and at times cannot walk when my back goes out. I have gone to the chiro and also had therapy to get me walking again. I find that I cannot use the inversion table when my back is already out and it hurts more when I invert when my back is way out and I am already in pain. But when I am only slightly out and there is no pain, the table stretches me out and I usually slide back into place easily . So for me the table is more of a preventative treatment. Instead of monthly chiro appointment or semi-monthly appts, I have not been back for several months. I definitely feel that the teeter is one of the tools I need to keep mobile, but it is not always the answer to my issue. It is sturdy and I like having the handles to pull myself up if need be. I do have to wait until my husband is available to help me get into it as I have arthritis in my hands and I am not able to get down or have the strength to pull the levers that release my feet from the foot restraints. I would definitely recommend that you have someone to help you the first few times until you get used to using it and see if doing it alone is safe for you. Also, we have to adjust the table whenever we switch from my using it to my husband using it as the height determines how easily you go up and down. I found that I need to put mine at 5'6" even though I am 5"3" so that when I move my arms, I tilt back up with very little effort. My husband has the same situation, only he has to put his height at more than 3 inches in order to achieve the same effect. I do love having this and it has definitely helped me with my back issues. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for another tool to help with their back issues. It was not too difficult to put together. My husband and I both worked on it. We had the video on a notebook computer and watched it step by step while putting it together. That was very helpful!

I would suggest buying refurbished. This Teeter is superb quality. The feet holder mechanism is easy to get your feet in but you will have to bend over to pull the pin to get your feet our which can be a difficult task depending on your back condition. I will say that it is easy enough to attach a rope or something to the pin where your feet go so that you don't have to bend at all, this will save you money from buying the higher priced model with extended reach. It folds up nicely and is not to difficult to set against a wall. When not folded up it is BIG, I have to be careful not to run into it in my small house. I haven't been using it as much as expected because not sure it is going to help with my particular back problem(tight back muscles leading to major headaches). But when I do use it I feel a huge amount of pressure in my head and lot's of stress in the upper body area which is weird because I thought it would stretch my lower back more(this could be user error). The big reason I'm not using this everyday is because I bought it to help take away my tension headaches but I'll be darned if this doesn't cause more pressure in my head. sigh* It's easy to invert, easy to invert all the way to upside down, I didn't it first try too because I'm a flexible male wasn't a big deal, but I could see if your older you could get stuck and be hard to get back upright. The equipment is great quality, smooth strong and well made. It was super easy for me to put together but I'm good with my hands. If your hands are not strong you will have some issues putting together because a few bolts need to have some good pressure to install. I haven't used to lumbar support or beads/balls whatever they are. I thought about sending it back because I don't use it much but I really need my back to get better and this thing will last forever so I guess I'll keep it in hopes that I will learn to utilize the machine better. Sometimes it takes a certain technique for things to help my back so might take time. Just want to help someone else who is on the fence about spending money on one of these.

I've got more back problems than a dogs got fleas... I unboxed this thing (little assembly but even a girl who don't read instructions got er did) Jumped in and HUNG upside down, the first thing was Instant relief, as soon as I was upside down NO pain!!! So after hanging ohhh all day a few hours (the instructions said first day go 2-3 min 3-4 times) Sooo the next day the plates n pins in my leg hurt! but for the first time since forever my back felt better WITH OUT PAIN PILLS.... I'm 5'1" and I have had the worst time getting this thing to go full tilt untethered, I called and People of the 5 - 5'2" variety do have probs getting totally free, but I just use my hands to get there and back... Also for you folk like me, that have SEVER VERTIGO, I was so scared this would make me sicker than a duck, and the first day after all the hours of not adapting like the book said, I was sick.. BUT Now I've learned, when I go down and ESPICALLY up, I stop in the middle and don't take my eyes off the ceiling and then go up or down slowly... Coming up I probably lay in the middle for a good 60 seconds before coming totally up, and I can't believe it because I haven't had ANY problem with my vertigo. YAY I can get out of bed in the mornings now, Yeah that don't sound like much, but for years I've had to roll n scooch to the edge because my back hurt so bad. So WOW, any time during the day I get some pain I go n jump on this thing for a couple three mins... I have noticed, especially when I first started using or if I've been doing stupid stuff, that even through up side down I feel great it may hurt to bend down to release my feet... but that goes away and as soon as I'm out it's good... I use the lumbar support all the time, I've used the acupressure thingys they are ok for some really hurting part, I wouldn't pay extra for them! This model is so well built. I'd seen n tried others that were cheaper and MORE expensive but this one WOW it is perfection! I actually was impressed that it folded up and you could get it out of the way, but, so far I can't live with out it long enough to fold it up!!! Maybe I'll put it away when the kids come over for the holidays! I've had L2 broke 4 ways, mussels torn, and over the years sooo many back injuries, I can't say ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS ... If your back hurts, don't waste money on the chiropractor for the price of a couple of visits you can have relief at your finger tips, and the little teeter don't force your spine like the crack Dr do! (that always scared me) When I hang and twist you ought to hear my back, sounds like WWII pop crack pop pop ... etc. Well you get that I soo love this, I'd pay double for it now that I know how good u can feel and not pop pills or leave the house! THANKS MR TEETER, for coming up with this!!!!
