We were nervous about our ability to install the Map which came in four segments. This was because we had read the reviews. The actual result we accomplished was better than we athough possible. Yes it takes a lot of manipulation but if you put the first segment up completly level then the rest fall into place. It took us about 45 minutes and some manouvering but the map looks fantastic.

This map is great, but it is kind of a pain in the butt to put up. My wife and I spent a good hour putting it up and lining it up correctly and stapled it into the walls. I believe she said that the instructions were to glue it to the wall but we weren't ready for that and decided to go with the staples instead. That worked better for us I think because she's a bit of a perfectionist and wanted it to line up perfectly over each other. Once it's up it looks great and its nice and large, taking up most of the wall we put it on (which is what we wanted). My only wish is that it would have been one large piece of paper instead, but I bet that would be hard to ship.

I like this map, so I uploaded a few pictures for your reference. First & second picture shows that it provides a great mix of visual appeal and information. I browsed several map murals before, ranging from external options like National Geographic to other Amazon options; others were either too busy with map names all crammed together or picturesque but lacking map-type information altogether. In the second picture you will see that the seams line up adequately with the labels that are on separate panels. This doesn’t happen by magic and takes some patience to get right. The map comes in four panels, and are made with something slightly thicker that poster paper. Handling it while wet with glue is tricky, and may lead to some _minor_ ink smearing as shown in the third picture. This paper & minor ink issue is my -1 star. The fourth picture shows the glue that was recommended to me by my local true value hardware store: dynamite heavy duty adhesive with a thick bristled brush (ie not a paint brush). I recommend both for this project. The adhesive is goopy/not runny, so it doesn’t make a mess everywhere, which is great given the thin paper + ink smearing issue... the thick brush is to avoid clumping in the back of the paper. A final note: you will need to push out the air bubbles with something... which may lead to the ink smearing issue. Be sure that what you use is dry and the paper you are pressing is not moist. The end is well worth the means.. I really enjoy it and it does prompt my kids (not pictured) into conversation about the big world we live in.

I ordered this giant wall map for my 6th & 7th grade Intensive Reading class because most of the curriculum materials are featuring cultures & story telling from around the world, Hispanic Heritage Celebration, the Holocaust, & the Cvil Rights Movement. It's a hit! We've traveled from Puerto Rico, Central & South America, to Spain. It's so exciting how excited they are to apply their map skills. It's added realia to the learning environment. It was shipped in a tube in 4 quadrants, non laminated, but durable paper. However, it needs to be laminated if you use it for this purpose. I went to several locations but no one had a machine that could fit the quadrants. Fedx could but it was going to be $250 per quadrant with tax. Yep, $1000. Finally, I got permission fm my principal to laminate it thru the district's print shop if it cost less than $100. It was $60 to laminate the entire map.

Loved this map! Took us a while to install, especially since we didn't follow the directions the first time and had to buy another map. We have orange peel texture on our walls and we we're able to paste the map over it without problems. We found that brushing on a thin layer of paste to the back of the paper and the wall then using a small roller to even it out worked the best to apply. It does stretch if you get it too saturated or if you don't work quickly. Also works best to smooth it out with a heavy sponge. We didn't have one but a soft cloth would work too. (We found this out when my husband started using his shirt to smooth out the edges. He eventually took it off and used that.) Just using your hands could stretch it instead of smoothing it out. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and install them in order!

I had been looking for a wall map for a while, and all were at least 3x the price. I was afraid this would be low quality, put it far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful colors, lots of detail... and BIG!

I used wallpaper paste applied to the back of the map, as it wasn't self adhesive. (When I applied it to the wall first, it left lumps under paper and was difficult to smooth out.). This map and it's color are gorgeous! I got the muted version and have had lots of compliments as people see it in our entryway/mud room. Great map! You will not be disappointed!

Purchased the map for our nursery. We were really excited as the picture makes it seem like it’s well designed and cut correctly. When the product arrived we put it together only to find that it did not match up correct, at all. The pieces were not even the same size. Of course we are limited on time so we had to put it up anyway, and as we expected, it looks awful. None of the lines, cities, countries, words match up together. The edges of the wallpaper, due to the pieces being different sizes, are drastically off. Be very careful before ordering this product! Would not recommend to friend or anyone for that matter.

Semplicemente bellissima!! Veramente veramente bella!, non la voglio attaccare al muro, ma la voglio incollare ad una lamiera, in modo tale da renderla magnetica. Ora allego le foto della mappa è più avanti posterò le foto del lavoro finito! AGGIORNAMENTO: Come promesso allego qualche foto del “ lavoro finito “ fa una grandissima figura.... chiunque La vede si innamora. Soddisfattissimo!!

Se ve muy bien ya instalado en la pared pero considero que requiere de alguien con experiencia para instalarlo, una excelente compra.

Amazing poster, but it's not easy to install

Would have like it if its self adhesive, its unlike a usual wallpaper quality , so It stretches a lot when applied with paste and being installed. I've read the review before I bought this so I know it was a challenge to put it up. Lo and behold they are not wrong. I like the size, not paper quality as I say, it stretches a lot and will be difficult to align. My installation was not perfect if you look it closely, I let the misalignment pass as it is hard to redo it once it started sticking to the wall.
