Is there a tool to cut out the rounds for item?

Do I have to roll dough out before putting it in

Yes. I've found it helpful to roll premade pie crusts just a very little thinner to make positioning dough easier. I also spray the press w/Pam every other pie or so and dampen edges w/ milk or beaten egg before pressing.

Can somebody tell me how well this is made? Are the hinges good quality for example? Or flimsy and easy to bend or break?

The hinges on ours have not broken. It is not precisely engineered however, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone had problems. It is hinged imprecisely so that it doesn't open perfectly flat. The package suggests that the underside can be used to cut circles of dough, but that doesn't work because it is uneven when open and the circles would be too small anyway. It does work as a platform base to help shape large, uniform empanadas, so, for the price, it is useful.

Does this come with a dough recipe?

hello, there is no dough recipe. But you can buy the dough on supermarket. And you can also try to cut out the round dough by the bottom of this tool, which maybe a litter uneven, but can still barely cut out the round dough.

Perfect for my fried pies!

Made the most perfect fried apple pies! Ordered the large size. Easy to use and pretty much non-stick. If it does start to stick in the middle of use, just wipe clean and spray with a lil Pam and you good to go! No complaints 👌easy to use. Just place cut out dough evenly in open clamshell, dont over fill the filling and close. No mistakes! Will be buying the smaller sizes.

This does make LARGE food. it's about 36% larger than a 6 inch. this will take up half your dinner plate. We are using for meal prep with the intention that the empanada will be the entire meal, and contain all the things. Very easy to use, love that it's metal, love the dough cutting circle, making more tomorrow for the freezer (ate all the ones from tonight, lol).

Empanada maker

Could not make not even one empanada. May have to utube to get some instructions on use. Cons Not easy to use since I’ve never made empanadas. I do live eating them🤣 Pros Great price

Really nice!

I was surprised by how nice this was. It is my first time making these types of pies and I was a little nervous about Joe difficult it would be. This set made it very easy! Even my first try turned out really well and the edges crimped nicely. I am really pleased with this purchase.
