Used to use this at the gym
I love this roller so much more than my big foam roller, it’s easy to use & does a great job for my sore legs. And I can use it sitting on the sofa, & don’t need to roll around the floor to use it

I am a powerlifter and I don't know how I made it so long without this thing. It works miracles on quads and calves. A must have.

Really helps muscle recovery
I’m trying to become a runner and it seems that it is frequent to get muscle pains and injuries until your body adapts or if you train too hard for your level. This roller has been a great post-running help to greatly reduce muscle pains that sometimes make my running quite uncomfortable. To be clear, it is not a miracle, you have to put work in; the aim is that after every run, you should use the roller on your “trouble” muscles and this requires time and effort (you have to apply force). If you include its usage in your routine, you muscles will be less sore!

Comfortable handles does the job!
Perfect soft handles to move the roller with ease. Great to use on legs and even on back of shoulders. Good length too. Have people using this with hand problems so it’s easier for them to hold.

Not great for self-use
The Trigger Point foam roller is a difficult item to summarise and review. It is a well made piece of equipment, with a sturdy metal centre and ergonomic grips, but it very awkward to use on any body part except for the legs. The performance and benefit is also hard to quantify. I play roller derby, a full contact team sport on roller skates, and as such my legs take the brunt of my workout. Using the roller does feel good, but as soon as the rolling stops, so does the benefit for my legs. However, after a particularly gruelling game at the weekend my shoulders and neck had seized up, so my other-half gave me a back massage with the roller. At points the pain was fairly intense, which my dear girlfriend found particularly fun, but afterwards I felt a big difference, having regained movement and lost a lot of stiffness and ache. Generally speaking, I can't rate the Trigger Point roller that highly. It does not offer the effective self-relief from aches and pains it is designed for. Instead it is a good tool for using on someone else, and although the movement of the roam rotating is painful, it does offer relief.

Once I used it I was glad I had stuck with the orange
When it arrived I started to think I should have bought the black version. Once I used it I was glad I had stuck with the orange! Really great for use on the calves and upper back.

One Star
Not quite what I thought, maybe it's just me not using it properly.

Excellent quality and beats rolling about on the floor on a roller. I actually use this.

Consigliatissimo. Veramente utile.

I used to run and have had a problem with my calves muscles (esp. anterior tibialis) for years. The muscles get very tight and hard, and I read that it's due to muscle weakness and overuse. I noticed certain areas are sore as soon as I started rolling. I’ve been using this in addition to [TriggerPoint GRID Foam Roller Original (13-inch)] on my calves about 3-5 times a week, and I've already noticed an improvement in my symptoms after about a month. I tried the Performance GRID STK Handheld Foam Roller Regular Density (since doesn't roll smoothly, hard to exert pressure and roll at the same time) and the travel edition (the pointy massage roller poke uncomfortably), but for my calves, this was the best. It rolls smoothly. The rollers are made of foam that doesn't have much give (it's much harder than the GRID roller foam). The design makes it easy to get the muscle area right next to the shin bone without rolling over the bone. The roller does bend a little bit, but not a lot, which is good because you can exert as much pressure as you'd like. I've also used on other muscle groups (upper legs, forearms). The shoulder is a bit tricky, but when you are able to stabilize the roller, it works very well (just be careful as the handle can leave a black mark on the wall).
