Ensure the measurements fall within the adjustable range of 43cm (17inch) for the neck and 55-80cm (22-32inch) for the chest. 2. Open the buckle and slide the harness around your dog's neck. 3. It arrived day after ordering, it's excellent quality materials and workmanship ... the 'Friendly' stitching is superb and it's really useful when we go to the park ... it fits my 5kg Jackahuahua PERFECTLY ... she can't wriggle out of it like she has done with several different harnesses ... BUT... BEST OF ALL ... it has TWO D rings for attaching the lead, one on the part which sits on the dog's back and another on the front where it sits on the top of the dog's chest ... and that's where the MAGIC comes in ... my Luna is very energetic and quick off the mark, she's a puller on the lead and also crosses in front of me causing me to trip up ... BUT NOT ANY MORE ... the minute I attached the lead to the clip at the front, the pulling STOPPED instantly!!! I can't believe my luck ... I now have a very well behaved dog who walks beside me on the pavement and I'm now enjoying our walks instead of building myself up to an argument each time :-) ... Review: Well made and robust - These are really good and *most* people can identify what they say clearly. Not that there's anything to really add to a FRIENDLY dog but my other one had NO DOGS and some people still don't understand that means don't let your dog come close. However that aside the harness is well made and strong and even better comes up like new with a quick wash (with a spaniel everything gets mucky). These harnesses also come with matching leads if you look for them so that helps as well. Nothing to complain about. easy to fit. although I did get it round the wrong way the first time. No hesitation in recommending these to buy instead of a collar next time.
