Very good cleaner worked well on my 30 year old negatives, cleaning them in a single pass. The fumes are quite strong so well worth disposing of the wipes immediately and I wore a face mask

Good liquid for cleaning photos

I have used this product before in my work, so got this for home use. It's the best at the job of cleaning negatives and photos.

My wife had a photograph that was about 35 years old, with a lot of grime, paint flecks and even a sticker on the photo's surface. I'm amazed by how well this did, with just a few drops on the PEC pads I ordered with this fluid. Even the sticker rubbed off cleanly, which I thought might have damaged the photograph surface. Only used a few drops and 1 pad, so still have plenty available for any other photos which might need attention.

Very good for cleaning the film and slides for projectors

Used to clean an old photo, applied with cotton buds. Excellent results, it lifted the dirt off.

Does what it promises, no issues. A great product.

Did a good job of cleaning 8mm film with the pec 12 cleaning fluid

Working with printed photographs for 50 years. I have never seen anything that can clean photographic emulsion as good as PEC. It help salvage $350 worth of photographs.

PEC-PAD have a reputation that needs no further reviews. The Photographic Emulsion Cleaner is superb. It easily cleans off 40+ year old adhesive residue on my old 8mm films. Quickly dries with no streaking and residue when wiped down with a PEC-PAD. This fluid works as well or better than some 40+ year old Kodak film cleaner that I had. Probably without the toxic or environmentally unfriendly VOCs. Unfortunately I did not tighten the cap completely the last time I used the Kodak cleaner and it evaporated away. The only complaint I have is the cleaner evaporates so quickly from the pads you have little working time if needed. I apply to fluid to a cotton swab and wipe it down with a pad. If I need to cover large areas I'll moisten a pad.

PEC-12 erfüllt seinen Zweck voll und ganz. Es lässt sich sehr gut verarbeiten, ist ergiebig und sorgt bei sachgemäßer Anwendung für ein hervorragendes Reinigungsergebnis. Ich verwende es hauptsächlich zur Reinigung von Negativfilmstreifen – das Resultat überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Trotz der Lösungsmittelbasis ist das Arbeiten damit bei guter Belüftung problemlos auch über einen längeren Zeitraum möglich. Ideal für alle, die analoge Filmstreifen gründlich und materialschonend reinigen möchten. Ein zuverlässiges Spezialprodukt, das in keinem Archivierungs- oder Digitalisierungs-Workflow fehlen sollte.

L’ho preso per pulire i negativi che presentavo delle macchie di non so quale materiale forse muffa o colla. Magicamente sono venute via con pochi passaggi. L’importante è non insistere troppo nella pulizia senza forzare la mano altrimenti si finisce per graffiare il negativo. Paragonato all’alcool isopropilico puro al 99.9% che ho in casa questo vince a mani basse. Certo visto il costo consiglio per una pulizia generale di passare con l’alcool isopropilico e per lo sporco più ostinato il pec-12. Ovviamente con le salviette pec-pad.
