Lovely CD. Great mix of classics. Great price and great quality.

Fantastic! This is definitely one of the best collections and recordings of Johnny's work I've heard in a while. Unfortunately, no one still hasn't taken his recording into a high quality studio to boost the sound-value and other technical attributes one knows are within his voice AND the wonderful orchestral music that accompanies him. (As they've done for Voices like: Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and many others.) Outside of a grade C, on sound "quality," the album, itself, is a very, very good piece of work. (I'm just an Artist, Writer, etc. and listen VERY deeply, and study with "intense ears"--like an Orchestra Conductor.) So, maybe I'm not the right person to ask. But, to MY review of this album, the reason why I still gave it "a full, 5 Star rating" because of the chosen collection of songs, the sound can play a bit better on various stereotypes, I adore "The Unique Voices" of classic Artists, AND ...at this price, you're "stealing" to have something wonderful for your own: "Collection of A Variety of Music's Greatest Artists."

All of his best songs you ever wanted to hear.

I saw Johnny in concert in the 60’s which was a really a transforming experience. His beautiful voice along with his gracious manor to wards his audience. What a class act. He sang most of these songs on the CD. At one point in time I most of theses wonderful songs on vinyl however sadly through the years it disappeared. This CD is a bargain worth every dime. I have pet birds who love his wonderful Christmas albums..this new CD is also for them.

I was only 14 in 1958 when Johnny Mathis was running up a string of pop hits that resulted in a "Greatest Hits" LP staying on the best-seller charts for more than three years. This disc gives you that album and a few bonus cuts. We are no longer in a clean love song/sentimental era in music, but rather one with overt sexuality rampant and voices that seem to fit rapists rather than seducers. So, while the arrangements and the vocal stylings you'll hear on this one may seem dated, don't let that lead you into thinking that the songs are not usually first-rate or that Mr. Mathis was not a highly skilled artist. In many ways, we as a society are to be pitied because of the lost innocence about love and dating and courtship these tunes represent. No "hooking up" here. No confusing the terms "first date" with "all night sexual romp" or "cohabitation" and "marriage." Some people laugh at the Mathis manner with a lyric these days. Johnny laughed all the way to several banks.

Well worth the money! Album contains all of his best hits (in my opinion. I highly recommend.

Nice selection of his songs. Reasonably priced.

I was given this album when it was released and wore it out so I was so grateful that I found it still in production. The songs he started out with that were hits. So many memories, a star struck teen age girl, gives my age away. Had them all on vinyl, wore them out also. His voice is so soothing to my soul.

This is a stunning collections of songs. My 85-year-old father played this CD over and over in the year he passed away. The beautiful arrangements and soaring vocals brought him joy even as he struggled with dementia. Highly recommend.

As a sampler of JOHNNY MATHIS's greatest hits,this is hard to beat.Along with TONY BENNETT and VIC DAMONE,JOHNNY is one of the last of the great crooners.You can not resume a singer who made more than an hundred albums,but the big hits always come on strong with any singer.The so-called signature songs are there.The cd doesn't cover the material beyond the early seventies,but if you want a collection of MATHIS,buy this

I loved it, Johnny Mathis as always been one of my greatest singer of all time, Oprah Winfrey once said what would be Christmas without Johnny Mathis,she was absolutely right 👍👍👍👍
