Good (enough) value and quality
I skated a LOT in roller rinks as a teenager and young adult. I skated backward and at one time earned a trophy for skate dancing. BUT all that was 45 years ago. So I’m not a beginner, and I knew I would not be happy with the quality and performance of “cheap” skates, but I needed to ease back into skating and I didn’t want to spent a lot of money. I was happy to find these on Amazon for about $60, which I think is a good value. I bought them based on the reviews and figured that if I start skating a lot again that I will probably need to replace them with better quality skates. So far, I’m thinking I will keep them! The boots on these skates are surprisingly very comfortable. I wear a US size 7 WIDE in ladies. I ordered a 7 (EU38), and they fit me great. So these run a little wide. If you have narrow feet, they might slide around inside these skates a bit, but a pair of thicker socks would solve that. I recommend ordering your normal size. They come unlaced so plan to spend a few minutes lacing them up before the first time you wear them. The laces were long enough and seem good enough quality. Like classic skates, these have shoe lace eyelets over the foot and three sets of lacing hooks at the top of the boot. The boots on these skates are made of “deluxe PU leather”—-well, that’s a synthetic material, and so my feet sweat in them a bit, but not bad. The little air holes on the sides help. The wheels spin nice and smooth—-but with a bit more friction (less spin) than I was used to. So they’d be good for beginners—but I was pretty happy with their performance and feel. They do not feel as “slippery” as “faster” wheels, and it takes a bit more effort to move along in them and pick up speed. But they were good. And I was very happy with the alignment of these skates. They roll straight and have a nice “balanced” feel to them. My only complaint is that about half way through the night, something suddenly went wrong with one of the skates—I initially thought I had skated through some spilled soda on the floor. Turns out that the toe stop just fell off. It really changed the feel of the skate. I’m not sure how that happened because the toe stop is screwed on with an attached bolt. I guess it wasn’t tight to begin with, and so it came unscrewed. I found the toe stop and also the washer, and I just screwed it back onto the skate by hand. That never, ever happed to me in all the years I skated back in the day. I guess I will need to check that for tightness periodically. Overall, I was happy with these and recommend them. I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you.

Papaison roller skates
I'm a beginner skater and I was looking for comfortable steady skates. After researching several brands, I bought the top 4 I thought would work for me without breaking the bank. I got these Papaison $60, Roller derby Cruz $62, Candy girl $70, Tuosamtin $110. So far, Papaison takes the number 1 pick. Most comfortable and best rolling feel. I like the quality as well. They have all around padding that wraps around the ankle. The adjustable toe stopper is also a plus because i can adjust them to where i want them. They fit true to size, order half size down. If you wear size 8.5 get an 8. Overal, they look very chic and classy, perfect fit. I love them. Second choice are the Candy girl also very comfortable. They are made of soft sued that mould to your feet as you break them in. Third are the Tuosamtin. They are comfortable but i do not like how they roll. They also feel bulky. Roller derby Cruz have good esthetics but they are not comfortable. They are so hard and no cushion on the inside. The tongue digs into your ankle. They hurt my feet just trying them on. For beginners, I recommend the Papaison. Best skates, you will not go wrong with these. They are also the best bang for your bucks. I hope this helps someone trying to find good skates.

Very durable, pretty color, size accurate, beginner skates
These are really nice skates! I looked at many different ones and read reviews before ordering these. Good purchase for the price and they are holding up well. My granddaughter skates weekly and sometimes twice a week and these have held up great and so far needed no adjustments. The toes are wearing some with the color coming off some where she drags and bumps her toes but it's not bad and to be expected and has no effect on it's use. It fits her perfectly and she was a total beginner and it's worked very well for her while learning. She only uses these on indoor skating rinks. So far so good and will update if there is a problem but it's been 7 months of heavy use. Highly recommend.

Roller skates
I ordered quad roller skates (4-wheel roller skates). I really like them — the color is beautiful and they fit very well. However, the laces arrived defective, which was disappointing. Overall, I’m happy with the roller skates, but the issue with the laces should be improved.

Papaison...Overall Great Skate! Overall great buy!
These are pretty decent skates... Attractive - I purchased the black and they look good, they are slick! Comfortable - The toe box size is great for my wide feet and comfy padding for good ankle stability. True to Size - I wear a size 7 1/2 (w) shoe, purchased a 7 1/2 skate, they fit perfect with wiggle room. Nice wheels - The roll is smooth and they're easy to adjust. (may also have to adjust your trucks). Good Quality, fairly reasonable and this delivery came sooner than expected in perfect condition. I have no regrets in purchasing these Papaison Roller Skates and highly recommend them... * One thing though...if they came with a skate tool that would be the icing on the cake! *

I love them so far! I used to love rollerskating, but now in my 50's I'm excited and nervous! I love the look and feel of these skates and they feel comfortable and pretty light.

Great Value and surprisingly comfortable
I haven’t skated in 20 years and when I went to the rink and used their skates to start up again, I was like, nope. When I saw these on Amazon with great reviews, I decided to give it another shot. These are very well made, comfortable and roll nicely and at a great price. Time to get back out there! Sizing was right, a little roomy for socks.

These skates are seriously comfortable out of the box. They fit well. My husband ordered my shoe size. The quality is great and they look fantastic on. I do think they’re great value for your money. Now for the bad part, my skates came with one shoelace. They also didn’t come with any tools. The tool should be standard considering it comes with an adjustable toe stop but really, one shoe lace? Thankfully that is easily remedied but I had to order another set of toe stops just to get the tool that is standard with most skates.
