Great for humans and dogs, not cats
I bought 2 of these (well 3, but that’s a later story) for a glamping trip. I hate air mattresses with a passion, but like to have a higher bed, and my husband convinced me to get these despite me thinking I wanted to do it cheaper. I am so glad I did! We put them on our single cots side by side and had the best nights sleep. Which, btw couples, this is the way to go so you can be close but not disturbed if one person moves a lot throughout the night. I didn’t love the manual inflating or deflating process but with a pump I’m sure it’s great. With this setup there was no freezing-yet sweating feeling like traditional air mattresses because of the foam. We thought it deflated a bit the first night but I think it was just because it was cold, because the pressure didn’t budge at alol after adding more air the second night. I’m a side and stomach sleeper and usually have a lot pain in my hip, but this was SO COMFY! This was in my top 3 glamping purchases recently. My dog really liked it, too. So, if you’re still reading- the reason I bought 3 is because my kitten decided to bite through one of them before I even before I even took it out of its wrapping. He’s such a jerk! I emailed customer support to see if it was salvageable and they suggested I get some of the patches they sell specifically for this. I did and it seems to be holding steady. I did not take that one on this trip because the patches arrived too late, but if it holds I’m not mad about having this for guests. Adding a pic of the art and the artist for your enjoyment and his shaming.

Super comfy, high value for the money.
The thing I hate about all these self inflating mattresses is that nobody does a good job of describing exactly what they feel like, and because of that I didn't want to spend half my paycheck on more expensive options. Well I'm going to try to tell you what they are like. First, the foam on the inside is not super dense. Its really just there to help give it some structure for inflation. If you're using it with a cot and it deflates there is enough foam that you're not gonna be totally uncomfortable, but you wouldn't ever purposely run this pad without it being inflated and if you're on the ground and it deflates you'll be sorry it did.. Now there seems to be two mechanisms that make this comfortable. 1. Is that the main fabric body of the pad is much stretchier than your typical backpacking inflatable pad. That coupled with the interior foam structure gives it a nice plush bouncy feel that countours better to your body. 2. There is a thin layer of egg carton memory foam sandwiched between two layers on the top (also I think this is the mistake the other video reviewer left about it "leaking everywhere" I'm betting that top layer of fabric is not part of the sealed air compartment, giving it more comfort and he's just seeing air bubble up from the foam) I've tried almost every sleeping pad you can think of for elk camp. Many major brand backpacking pads. Those 3" memory foam pads you can find here on Amazon. Paco pads. This is the first time I've used one of these style pads, most of them are just too expensive to justify rolling the dice on without knowing how comfortable they are. Out of everything I've tried this is the most comfortable. Not quite as comfy as the bed at home, but you're not going to get much closer. Also inflation is a breeze even without the electric pump. Most people I see reviewing this brand on YouTube seem not to have ever used this style of bag pump. The trick is to blow into it from a few feet away. Lots of air will rush into it filling it up all the way, only needing 3-4 pumps to fill it up. (The Nemo pads use a similar system and have videos on how to do this). Deflation is actually easier than most people make it out to be, some minor effort and its back to its factory size roll. but I have the single, I'm sure larger sizes are a pain though. My sleeping bag did not make a lot of noise with the fabric, however the bottom of the pad rubbing up against my taught cot fabric did make noise, still not as bad as the plastic bag sound of most sleeping pads. Ive only used it for one night, but I'll be putting a full 7 nights on it in a couple of weeks. If I haven't updated since then you can bet it held up and lasted well. Very happy with the value for the money.

Just what I wanted, but kind of wish I had gotten the double now.
I have a lot of time and experience outdoors from backpacking using minimal or no sleeping pad depending on the terrain and weather to trying a bunch of different name brands (Nemo, REI, etc). This definitely is not for back packing. It is for car camping, meaning drive to the spot and maybe hike a quarter mile at most, my campsite this weekend was 100 feet from my car. Having said that, it is quite big and has a bit of weight but not horrible. I opted for the manual inflation/deflation but may opt for the pump down the road. Inflation was a breeze with the bag provided, took maybe 2 minutes. I tried the self inflation mode but got impatient after finishing up setting up most of camp 15 minutes later. I will say the self inflation mode will work much better the second time you use it. Comfort was amazing. I can honestly say I slept almost as good as I do in my own bed. Normally after a camping trip I'm so exhausted from poor sleep the I need a day to recover, not the case this time. Deflation and storage- definitely takes a bit more effort than I had anticipated but not horrible. I did a tri-fold opened the valve got a lot of air out put the valve on deflate mode then squished out as much air as I could, rolled it up rinse and repeat about 3 times. (this is why I am thinking of getting the pump at some point. I had a big double from another camping company and put this up there with comfort, higher in set up. I really didn't want to spend $300-500 so when I read the reviews on this one I decided to give it a try and I was impressed and very satisfied with my purchase and the price. I highly recommend this for comfort camping, very wide, very long, and super comfy. I bought a second for my son.

Self destructed after a couple uses
Update. After my initial review the company reached out to me and offered a replacement. I’m still concerned it may leave me sleeping on the ground in a future camping trip, but I appreciate their great customer service, and it is a very comfortable and well made mattress. Comfortable, seemingly great quality, easy to inflate, easy to roll back up, and nice storage bag. But only made it through 2 trips before it wouldn’t hold air. The inner part of the valves tear up the membrane from inside and it leaks a lot around both valves now. Seems like it would be a great mattress if it never had to be rolled up again.

Just wanted to share my experience with the LOSTHORIZON Airsoft sleeping mat. I've been using the 4.5" thick version for quite a while now, and it's been a game changer for camping. This thing is seriously comfortable, I always get a great night's sleep on it. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their camping setup.
