Extra Large Pad for Light Relief Infrared Pain Relief Device

I have been using the base unit for infrared light pain relief therapy for years after Spinal Fusion Surgery. Fell on black ice in early Dec 2013 and injured my lower back and hip. My base unit pad stop working so I ordered the Extra Large Pad to replace the base pad.. Wish I had ordered it long ago. The days I was without the light relief I was in agony, and experienced what is was like not to have this device to aid in treating severe low back pain. When I was checking out on Amazon, they recommended Penetrex Inflamation formula to be purchased with the Pad.. WOW, the two together are MIRACLES for anyone who need relief from muscle and joint pain and injuries. Years ago when I started using Light Relief Infrared Pain Relief Device, I knew that something great was happening in my body. The areas that would always hurt were not hurting severely like before. Compared to the way it used to be, the pain is much more manageable and medication gets rid of pain faster. As long as you use this product everyday, you'll see yourself be able to do the things you couldn't before. I use it atleast twice a day on HIGH with three cycles each on the areas that need it. Don't ever stop using it! I know that just because you feel great and pain-free, you might be tempted to stop using Light Relief. Don't! Just like anything else in life, if you stop using the the things that help you, you'll revert back to the way you used to be before the help arrived. So if you have any doubt for this product, don't, it really works! I can't imagine being without this product. It has made a huge difference in my life. I thank God for Light Relief! Use the electrical adapter not the batterires with the Extra Large Pad for Light Relief. The large pad is for the areas that require more surface area such as the back.

Went through 2 cycles without heat on my back and then waited a few days to try on my wife. 1st cycle (15 min) seemed to work but the unit failed completely during the 2nd cycle. The main unit still works with the light relief main unit so the extra large pad is toast. Good side is that I bought on Amazon Prime with free shipping so I'm returning (RMA) without additional cost...would have sucked if I had missed the return window though. That would have been $30 down the drain. Guess I'll order another and see if I have better results...will definitely put it through it's paces when it arrives next time. Update to the post: Once unit cooled down (Wasn't very warm) the lights started working again so this unit is definitely defective but not totally dead. It will still go back and I'll order a replacement unit. Another note for the questions about the power supply for these Light Relief units: Original Adapter: Model: HKD9-1000 Input: AC120V 60HZ Output: DC9V 1000mA You can probably find a universal power adapter from Wally World but would need to verify that the barrel plug actually fits the main unit. Worst case, you could reverse engineer the replacement power supply...install the original plug on the new unit.

Got this for my boyfriend who is an athelete always complaining of pains. Now I just remind him to use his light relief when he starts sharing his pains with me. He says he can't tell if it works, but it must be if he keeps using it and feeling better. He always uses this pad with it so I'm not sure what he thinks of the unit without it, this covers more area and he can lay on it easier than the bulky unit, but you have to have that unit for this to work, so I'd give it the same rating I guess.

I love the light relief it is helping, i was hoping to add the big pad to take less time but the plug did not fit the port. i don't want to re-order for fear of being in an endless loop of returns. 2-4-13 update.New oder from PRO therapy supplies. I ordered another of these and it's the large neoprene, it does plug in however I prefer the original material rather than the neoprene. I will keep this and maybe order a whole new set eventually and hope it comes with the orginal material on the large pad. This one is ok though and got here quickly

A friend had gotten one of these. There is a group of us who are always looking for a new pain relief toy. I really like this one. If something hurts at night I can turn it on, put it on the spot and go back to sleep. Maybe it works like a heating pad, I don't know, but it does a better job. The attached pad, which is supposed to be for the back, is okay, but the LEDs are sharp and the pad smells like rubber. A design flaw with this product is that the connector for the pad or when the pad is not in use, for the device itself, is on the end of a wire and in the dark it is virtually impossible to orient it correctly to plug it in and it DOES fall out. They could modify the plug a little so that the top can be felt. I should do something on mine. I guess they are not expecting people to use it during the night, but that is when I use mine.

I'm afraid I cannot give a favorable review for this product as I returned the regular Light Therapy device 'cause it did not really provide significant pain relief. Unfortunately, I was not able to return the extra large pad because the return time had expired. While the light therapy device might work for some, I really cannot recommend it.

The Extra Large Pad is a must have... covers so much more area, comfortable and easy to use. Don't hesitate to order this pad. If it's your back that you want to do light therapy on then you will really benefit from the larger and thinner dimensions of this pad... You can lay behind knees or lay on top of knee with a small pillow helping to form slightly over the leg.. I even got a padded computer bag (looks like a purse) to keep every thing in... the light relief came with a carry bag, but the Extra Large Pad want fit in it, and I wanted to keep the pad protected, it only cost 15.00. Love Love Light Relief....Thanks for such a great product.

I am very very pleased with the large pad . I suffer from Neuropathy ,so my feet are very cold at night. Every night before I go to sleep , I place my feet on the large pad for 15 minutes, and then I immediately put on my socks for the night. Before I had this pad , I was forced to use a Heating Pad during the night, in order to be able to sleep..No more heating Pads, and the risk of "Burns".
