TAC SOL Rug MK Series HLSTR Low BLK

Holster arrived today. Slid it on to my range belt, adjusted the tension to my desired resistance and headed to the range. I've got a Ruger MK IV 22/45 Tactical with the upper/lower pic rails and a red dot sight , I didn't know if the holster would accommodate the lower rail but it fit perfect. The belt cut outs are large, but using my 2" range/duty belt there was no flopping around by the holster while moving around the range or when drawing the weapon. For the money this is probably the best MK IV holster on the market. Hoping I'll be able to use it with my suppressor.

It's a fantastic holster. Light, strong (lol, plastic, duh), and it just fits everything well put of the box. I wish I could be snarky here and do something unexpected or fun, but no, it's really a good holster for the Ruger Mark series .22 LR pistols. Use it in good health. Update 8/25/23 with a cool idea: Holster is still working great. Replace the uppermost screw with a longer thumbscrew to be able to adjust out retention on the fly. That way if you're getting in and out of a boat or something, you can keep it locked down tight, then loosen it to do quickdraw stuff. Works surprisingly well. Love this thing.

Fits 5.5” and 6-7/8” bull barrel guns. If you have the shorter barrel, it does rattle when walking, but is still locked securely in the holster. My longer barrel weapon doesn’t rattle as much, but that may be because it has taller sights. It leaves less room for the barrel to move. If it held the weapon so that it didn’t move around in the holster, I would give this a five star review. Either way, like I said earlier, the gun is still firmly attached to the holster. I have some very thin rubberized pad that has a duct tape like glue on the other side. I might try some of that to deaden the sound.

Works perfectly for my Ruger MK IV 22/45.

Quality seemed ok but it did not grab the Ruger MK II target 5.5” Bull barrel tight enough to retain it well with Holosun 507 optic. Tested by turning it upside down & the pistol dropped out too easily. The same might happen while moving rapidly between targets in a match. It may work with other brands but each pistol brand needs to be tested before using. It is difficult to make a holster fit all 22LR pistols universally.

Perfect for Ruger 22/45. Excellent price and quality. Works well for range carry. I purchased both low and high rise and preferred the low-rise position. Puts the grip at a more natural access height.

This holster is the same as the high ride holster it replaces. That holster's only short coming was it rode too high for me!

Bought on the basis of fitment. As others have said there are not a lot of options. Wanted a drop holster rig but this was as close as I found as it was a low mount. Did not want a chest rig or leather. As is...I had to add 1/4" to the length of the tension screws to accommodate my .22. I added washers to make up for the gap. Holstered, I can turn it upside down and it holds firm. $$high side for having to add/adjust for fitment. Overall happy 22/45lite
