Tasted just like boba I've had from restaurants and drink retailers
These tasted just like dark (molasses?) Boba I've had before. Here's how I prepared them in the microwave based on what I read from other reviews. Measurements and times based on my experience in my ~900 watt microwave. Feel free to adjust. 1.) 1/4 cup boba pearls per person or per drink, stirred in cold water, drained, and rinsed like this 3 times. 2.) In a large 3 cup Pyrex / glass microwaveable measuring cup, I boil 2 cups of water. (Just water at this point.). For me, it's 5 minutes in the microwave in high to get the water boiling. 3.) Dump the rinsed boba pearls into the very hot water and stir. 4.) Return to the microwave for a minute on high to get the water boiling again. 5.) Continue cooking in the microwave on 10% power for 4 minutes. This gives a total cook time of about 5 minutes, but once the water is boiling you don't need very much power to keep it hot. 6.) Drain, carefully. I use a large soon 6 to keep the balls in the glass measuring cup. 7.) A spoonful of sugary flavorful syrup per 1/4 cup of balls you originally put in and a little bit of water to just cover the surface of the balls, and stir. Let them cool a little while you make your drink. You can put them in the fridge for use the same day, but the longer they go in the fridge, the chewier and rubberier they get. So, it's up to you to use them sooner rather than later. Ideas for the syrup used to flavor them: honey, real maple syrup, any kind of flavored syrup you'd use in coffee or tea (Like the Monin Syrups for example,) make your own simple syrup, a melted popsicle, or even a little Kool-Aid. I found this method to be very easy and these boba pearls very good. I would but them again.

For softer boba, boil 3-5 minutes longer
Absolutely loved it, but I like them on the softer side. Boiling for the recommended time made them done, but a bit chewy. If you like that, boil for the recommended time. I don’t think it’s possible to overcook them either. The last batch I made I lost track of time and they boiled for a good 15-25 minutes (not sure how long lol) and they still came out nice and soft when I was expecting a soft mushy mess. Definitely recommend letting them soak in brown sugar (or white sugar works fine too) to sweeten up.

Good flavor, fast cook
I love that it's not an hour long process to make this boba. My issue with the company is when you buy multiples they usually mess it up and send other flavors than what you order. Idk why, but 2 times now I ordered 3 of the same flavor and they send 2 of what I ordered and 1 of another... Just know- no refunds or exchanges!

Right size for me
These actually cook up in about five minutes boiling on the stove top. I just add a spoonful to the boiling water and set the timer. I've discovered that I like just a little boba in my drinks, so one or two regular spoons is my sweet spot. I was buying the much larger one pound bags of another brand and using those, but they were going bad before I got through them (yes even leaving them in the freezer. After several months they were tasting like ammonia.) I decided to take a risk on these ones since I didn't want another big bag I would only eat a quarter of. I'm very happy with them. I put them in the fridge as soon as I opened them and these cook up much faster and softer than the other brand I was using. Not entirely sure about the flavor because I put them hot in a small bowl with a spoonful of brown sugar to wait while I make the rest of my drink, but I like the texture and the flavor comes out how I like it. Price per weight there are cheaper options for more product, but I'm very happy with the quality on these bobba. And personally I'm happy with the smaller package, because I feel like I won't waste as much since this is a every once in a while treat instead of an every day thing. I will be ordering more when I get through the bag I bought.

Just okay.
I wish they tasted like the ones you get at tea time. And they are gummy. And no flavor. I tried cooking them in coffee, sugar. Was better. But now, the gummy texture I do not like.

Just do it
Got this for me and my 10 year old who love boba but can't justify a $7 drink. Got this plus the thai tea drink mix and I'm stoked. It tastes great and the texture is perfect as long as you don't cook them too long. Fallow directions and use a timer. 😅

Not brown sugar flavored
Cooking them was easy, butthey have no flavor. They almost have a plastic type after taste. I have purchased many other brown sugar brands and this is a first that they have no sugar or flavor. They are a no for me. I have a whole bowl of perfect textured jelly plastic tasting bobas.

Great for those who want some good boba!
The taste is amazing and the texture is the best I've had. The value is good for the price. Super easy to cook and the size of the balls are perfect. The speed of cooking is easy.
