Hooke Road 18.8" High Overland Bed Rack for Full-Size Trucks w/Bed Rails - Compatible with Toyota 07-23 Tundra & 05-25 Tacoma 6' Bed

Installed this a week ago and am quite happy with it for the price. Installation on my 26 Tacoma long bed was easy, took about an hour and a half by myself. I assembled the vertical sections, and installed them one by one and attaching the horizontal top parts as they went in. There's a lot of bolts. But I LOVE the customizability, in that I can loosen some bolts to shorten it if I need to haul something tall for example. And it will likely fit in another truck should I upgrade down the road. I wish it was aluminum so I wouldn't have to worry about rust, but know it would be more expensive if it was. The steel coating seems very durable though so I hope rust won't be an issue but only time will tell there. Hardware seemed quality, but again not sure if it's stainless so we'll see if it rusts. I'll try to remember to update after I have some time with it on. The other thing I wish it would do is extend ALL the way to the back of the truck. BUT, the truck rails don't go that far so that would take a lot of reengineering. I also wish there was some kind of rear door, as part of what I'm using this for is a place to put my dogs when I need them secured for awhile, and to give some protection from theft to my cargo. I'm going to rig something up for this myself. Overall though I love it. I'm mounting some solar panels underneath the top to charge my power station. I may even try installing some camp netting to make it like an open air camper shell lol. It looks good compared to most of these types of racks I've seen, but is more functional than most since the top is right at cab height to you can still get in the bed and it maximizes space. Also, it came packed very well, and though there was one piece that has a slight bend on the skinny part, once I installed a bolt there it flattened it out and looked perfect.

Going on one year having this installed on my truck, with an RTT installed on it. It’s been out in the PNW winter rain. No creaks, or loosening. The powder coat is awesome. No missed spots or scratches or rusting. Nice solid construction and gives me versatile mounting options for gear as well! Would definitely recommend!

Product arrived, nearly every piece is bent. What a horrible product. This is over 100 lbs. in a cardboard box. After one single trip, about 8 screws came loose as well. One trip about 4 hours. I tightened them all roughly the same, and 8 just popped right off after or during the trip. They expect me to return this and go through all this again? What a joke. Do not buy. Made in China for cheap, sold for far more than its worth.

Arrived well packaged and with clear instructions. Assembly took a couple hours. I opted to drill additional mounting holes in the bed brackets to reinforce the attachment to my 2006 Ford F-150. Well made components and once installed it seems very sturdy and conveys structural confidence. Will work very well to mount a Roof Top Tent. I would recommend.

I’m happy with the rack in general, easy to install, arrived earlier than expected. But the packaging was horrible, no instructions were included and item arrived damaged. If the package itself was not 70+ lbs I would return, but the shipping foam and box is almost unusable upon delivery. Paint chipped in multiple spots and bent on secure/mounting points. I do expect some sort of solution to this poor execution of delivery. Granted the metal itself is thin on areas that were bent, so that may be the difference between a “budget” rack like this and one that is of better quality.

Would want a replacement
