Best Inline Hockey Skates on Amazon at This Price
I’m not a small guy (6'1", 300 lbs) getting back into skating. I used to swear by Mission skates 20 years ago, so I did my homework before buying these. Alkali is the team that actually was Mission back in the day and the second you put these on, you can tell. They feel like the old Missions in all the good ways. I took a solid wipeout on day one (I’m fine. Wear pads, kids), and the skates didn’t even flinch. I wasn’t sure about the all-white look at first, but once they got that first scuff, they looked like proper hockey skates. I do highly recommend baking them after your first short skate the fit goes from “pretty good” to “locked in” fast. 5 stars. For the price, you won’t find a better hockey skate on Amazon.

Pretty surprised to be honest
The look of these are awesome. The build quality is good on them as well. My only cons would be get different bearings and if you have wide feet maybe look elsewhere. I have wide feet and towards the end of a session my feet are hurting decently. They need a little bit more breaking in but I’m sure it’ll still be a little tight. That’s a me problem though haha.

Excellent skates on a budget.
I play only about 2 times a week due to my schedule. Definitely didn’t need high end skates but wanted quality. I used to wear Tour but it seems their quality level has gone downhill. This is my first time with Alkali, and I am very impressed. I wear a size 10 shoe so I ordered a size 9 skate. The fit is nice and snug and very comfortable. My big toe slightly brushes against the toe box. Very good ankle support. My rinks around here are smooth concrete and the wheels give you good grip. The only thing I would change is the bearings. Don’t get me wrong, the stock bearings are not horrible, but as with many budget type skates, an upgrade makes a lot of difference. All in all I am very happy with my decision to go with Alkali.

Great beginner skate
They are pretty good for the price, I recommend you buy the one size bigger because the snug fit it too precise and might cause your feet to hurt, overall a great skate for beginners with good materials.

Very Stiff, Good Bearings, Not for Beginners
If you're a new skater, avoid these. There are super stiff with a very rough break in period. It's very hard on the ankles because it's to stiff to tighten for support. I imagine an experienced skater would love these. The inside padding is soft and pretty comfortable. The Wheels roll amazing and smooth thanks too the ABEC 9 bearings. The wheels being 82A makes them really good for sticking to indoor floors but don't offer quite enough softness for outdoor, although it's not unusable outdoors. My Final Suggestion is if you buy these, your gonna wanna stuff water bottles into the toes and leave then over night to open them up, out of the box they pinch your toes and cut off circulation.

True to size, fit perfectly.
Bought these skates to get back into hockey again. Took about one hour to break them in fully, skate really well, and are made with durable materials. Good choice for any level.

Needs a wider boot
It was too narrow boot should have been wider. Made for a very slender foot, needs more cushion… no good ankle support laces should be longer

So far they fit! I am AFAB with a women's size 7, men's 5. Now I remember seeing a bunch of 'size up' reviews but I took the risk to do my normal size based into the skate size... The company recommended a size down for the skate itself- confusing I know but I actually could only get the size 4 (skate size, which is conveniently a size down) and they fit perfectly. Now hockey skates are ment to be tight, but not circulation tight, as I've been taught by my step-dad who was an ex-coach. I took this in mind when ordering and took the risk. They turned up and bam they fit. They are snug just like my hockey ice skates. Now, do they work like hockey iceskates - nooo they do not but that's why I got them, to learn. So far they feel great with a pair of 3mm or 4mm thick wool socks (I recommend for sweat and blisters as your breaking them in.) I absolutely love the design and they have some decent padding to start with on the inside to cushion your foot unlike normal hockey skates, but not as much as your conventional inline skates that aren't hockey style, making it seem more light weight and controllable in my opinion. I'll update with some photos when I'm out practicing on a not so rainy day. With a comparison to normal shoes to help those who are also like me and need visuals and a representation.

Received my pair today and am very impressed. After reading some of the reviews, sizing up is absolutely a must. My Hockey skates are a size 9 and I wear a size 9 to 10 shoe depending on the brand. If you wear a size nine Vans sneaker then order the size 9 skate even thought it says for size 10 shoe. My big toe just hits the end of the skate. The toe box in the skate is nice and wide so lots of room for your toes to move and flex. No pinching. The boot construction is solid for the price point and very comfortable. A great option for your first pair of skates. Not sure how durable they will be in the long run but since I am not playing hockey in them they should last a long time.
