Must have sleek adapter
Brilliant adapter! Smooth connection, ease of use and super useful in connecting USB, UB-C and additional connections not on the Max Air. A Backpack tool I'll never be without.

Solves lack of ports on MacBook
This was a great adapter to be able to better utilize my MacBook with its lack of connections. it works as intended and was a good value for the money. It is easy to sue and pops right on and off with minimal effort and is easy to transport with your mac. Just beware if you put any cases on the mac this may not connect properly.

HDMI ports stopped working
It worked well (mostly) for the first 4 months. USB-C ports were always a bit sketchy. After an evil Windows update, HDMI ports weren't working for my 23-in monitors (worked in laptop's HDMI port). Learned from LIONWEI support that cables need to be the same on both ends. I had bought a 2nd hub by then, but HDMI still ports didn't work. Finally got a 32-inch monitor with a HDMI-HMDI cable that is now plugged into my laptop and gave the two 23-inch monitors to my grown kid. LIONWEI offered a rebate, but I didn't take them up on as their product wasn't the problem. Evil Windows updates happen. If you get hit by one, update your monitor drivers, and update your video cards. This worked for a family friend, but not for me...

Works as expected
Works great! Bought for MacBook Air so I could extend to two monitors. Needed a direct cable from 2nd monitor in addition to this docking station.

Works well. All the ports I need.
Excellent docking station with all the ports I need — dual HDMI, fast USB, ethernet, and more. Handles multiple monitors smoothly, charges quickly with 100W PD, and makes working across devices so much easier.

Great but could use a longer lead
Hey it works great and as advertised. My only problem with it, which most of these share, is that the power input would be much better placed at the same end as the cat 5 especially with the short usb-c lead coming off the opposite end. People generally don't have a lot of room on their desk and it can become cumbersome maneuvering one of these things around with wires hanging out everywhere. Having the input power come off the end instead of the side would make things easier. Of course if it also had at least a 3 ft usb-c lead, that would ease things. Most usb-c jacks don't do well with repeated lateral stresses so the more slack you've got the better.

2nd monitor port stopped working 2 weeks outside return window
Updated review 17March2025 : MARSTECH (seller) reached out to me unprompted offering a full refund, so I can't fault their customer service, and have upped my rating. Not entirely happy with Lionwei (manufacturer) as the replacement I bought since this failure (same brand - different model) has got very hot and had one monitor stop working until power cycle after only a week. That one was in the return period, so going back. Probably won't be replacing with same brand this time, but going for a more expensive unit (larger for heat dissipation?). I don't think my use case is too abnormal - wired ethernet, 3 x USB, 2 x hdmi. Maybe its the (dell) laptop. Initially okay - After Hibernating my dell laptop I pretty much always had to rearrange windows - 2 x HDMI windows, one 4k, one 1080p vertical worked well - Ethernet, multiple USB-A connections - all good - started losing USB-A keyboard/mouse then one of the HDMI monitors after only a couple of months

Makes docking a laptop easy
Multiplexes a variety of devices on the usb c port and seems to work well on n mst cases. One issue: Sometimes the laptop can not be awakened with a key press. I have to pull it out and press the power button. This seems to happen randomly for no obvious reason. I’d like to blame Windows but am not sure.

So far this product has been really good for all the uses I needed out of it. The build quality is really great, all the ports work really well and are sturdy. There is no part of the product that is creaking or a loose piece of plastic. It fits really well if there is no protective case on your Macbook, which I didn't mind removing but some people might. The best feature about this product is the Hdmi port. The resolution on that port which the monitor receives is really good in quality. This is definitely a good buy. The only thing that is left to be spoken for is the life of this product. So far it has been really good.

Awesome cord. Very durable, affordable and serves it's purpose. My Asus Zen Book sadly was built with a mini HDMI. Those things are just too damn sensitive. I moderately tripped over the cord and it only shows picture now if I hold the cord on a certain angle. A full sized HDMI would barely be bent at all... I was trying one last time to position it good but it seems like it doesn't show picture at all anymore (Guess I tried to bend it back in place too much). I'll fix it eventually, money is better spend reinvested in my online business. Too my amaze, my type C port has a "D" beside it so it allows display out. I'm glad I got an premium ultra book... Picture is expected at good quality, if I play a 4k video on YouTube with a 1080p TV it looks the same as it would on a 4k screen (2160p). What I'm saying is it's not worth it to get anything more than 1080p unless you have a tv over 80'...(I think your money could be better spent at that point). That is if your tv is 10+ feet away from you which it should be because 10+ feet away makes it so your REM sleep isn't negatively affected from watching TV before bed... Just a little tip to save you some cash and tiredness in the morning.

It is a very nice cable, at first all I wanted was to screen mirror my game to my tv using my new galaxy s9, i tried using my charger it did not work so i bought this plugged it in. The screen mirror feature worked but what I didn't know is that it allowed my phone to serve as a desktop pc, looked just like a linux OS, it was very cool to use because it seemed as if it were a pc. I would really like to use the feature more, at first I saw that this product had no downsides but since i wanted to use the pc feature my bed is far from my tv and the length was short, i would be very interested in a wireless version. All in all I'd say this product is worth the money I spent and then some

Great adapter! I got it because it supports HDMI and USB 3.0 so it allows me to connect my MacBook to a Wacom Cintiq. The colour matches Apple's space grey well, too, which is definitely a plus!
