Do not purchase.
Okay okay okay. When I saw all the one-star reviews I just assumed the owners were being picky and expecting a lot better device for $3,000. But this product is just BAD. Like I have a Tesla and I understand the growing pains with full self-driving technology and don't expect it to be perfect every time but hey it works 80% of the time at least. This product doesn't even work. Just sits sometimes for 90 mins straight not even moving with the blades still running, or tries to take a sharp turn and accidentally lift itself off the ground the tilt sensor goes off and just stops itself in the tracks.... Literally just trying to turn it kills itself..... The mapping system doesn't work whatsoever and takes way too long to set up/chronically resetting the map/not accurate. They say you have this wonderful customer service line (that no one ever picks up on) or a chat support line in the app (but no one ever responds to or limited hours) The reason why I purchased this is because I work and don't want to mow the lawn. When I'm trying to troubleshoot this no one is there to support me (weekends, evenings etc). Guys's product isn't ready for market yet for at least not at this price point. If you're going to run a beta product give it to the consumers for a reasonable price or reimburse them to give them feedback on your product. Right now I know why your Amazon reviews are peppered with one star reviews. And don't get me wrong I'm a tech guy and I understand things go wrong/sometimes there's operator error (built my own robot bartender etc) but this thing isn't ready for the general consumer yet or even the market yet.

Very Impressive!
I will start out this review by saying that reviewing a product I’ve had for only a week is not something I would normally do and this review is very much subject to change after I see how this mower handles a full season. A little info about the mower and my particular situation is advisable to start the review, because this mower DEFINITELY WONT work for everyone!! For starters this mower relies on GPS to know where it is which is what allows it to run without wire strung around your property which is exactly why I hadn’t purchased a robot mower until now. Because of this GPS navigation having a clear view of the sky in most places in your yard is very important. It just so happens that my property has no trees or other objects that would block the sky, so signal strength has been great for me. In addition to that you can’t expect this mower to work miracles and mow steep slopes or cut tall grass and weeds. My property is pretty flat in most places and the lawn was already cut fairly short since I have Bermuda and it’s still spring. So with those things in mind I did my research and knew before I purchased this product that it would likely work well for me, and it has not disappointed. I will give a little info about setup and overall performance so far: Unboxing and Setup- Everything is packaged nicely. The mower itself is surprisingly heavy and seems to be of high quality. One thing that drew me to this product was the 4 year warranty and free accessories for life. Ecoflow will send you replacement blades and cables if you ever need them which is nice. The blades themselves are basically razor blades and should probably be changed every few months. Setup was pretty straight forward and the Ecoflow app does a good job of walking you through what needs to be done. One thing I did different though was mount the GPS antenna on my fence so that it sat higher and didn’t have any chance of the fence blocking it from “seeing” the sky. the GPS antenna must be wired to the charging base of the mower included wire that was plenty long for almost any application I could imagine. The only way you might need more length is if you plan on mounting the antenna to your roof. After the antenna was wired up you have to run the power cable. This cable was also plenty long for my application and had no problem reaching the electric outlet on my covered patio. Keep in mind the power brick that plugs into the wall outlet needs to be covered or protected from rain. After power and GPS antenna are taken care of you can put the mower on the base and let it charge. From there follow the steps on the Ecoflow app to test signal strength. My signal was between 96 to 98 which is really good. I would definitely take the time to ensure you’re getting good signal and don’t settle. As mentioned earlier this mower relies on GPS to function properly. Without GPS the mower will not work right at all. After you take care of signal strength the app will ask you to begin mapping your spaces. This is the part of the process that will probably take the longest and you should take your time to make sure you do it right. Basically you drive the mower with your phone like an RC car around the perimeter of your yard so it can learn the boundaries. I found that controlling the mower with the phone wasn’t the easiest thing to do. At times, especially around the right side of my property along the fence the mower would randomly make a hard left turn even when I was driving it straight on the virtual controller on the app. Here’s the bottom line: I imagine that anyone who wants to get the most out of this mower will want to remap their property a few times to get the best map that will offer consistently great results. I don’t consider this to be a negative for the product. I just feel that there is a little learning curve to understanding what works best for your situation. This brings us to one of the first negatives: - Right now only 2 zones can be mapped which won’t work for everyone. I could use up to 5 zones personally. My understanding is that a future software update wil address this and allow up to 5 zones. So hopefully this isn’t a problem for long. You can also make channels between zones which allows the mower to go over areas you don’t want to mow in order to reach areas you do want to mow. Performance - Overall I’m very impressed! This thing makes the prettiest looking lines in your lawn when it mows because it mows in straight lines unlike most other robot mowers. Battery life seems to be very good. Mine is mowing about 4000 square feet of actual grass and still has over 50% battery left at the end. Now my yard is pretty easy, so your experience with this may vary. From what I understand it will also resume if it needs to go back and charge before it finishes, but I have not tested this feature because I didn’t need to. Maybe when I add more zones I’ll see how this works. The blade has a camera that will detect obstacles which I found worked pretty well. I have dogs that would sometimes lay down in the mowers path and it simply stops and goes around them. The blade isn’t perfect. Sometimes as I watch it mow I am a little bewildered at the decisions it makes in regards to how it navigates. At the end of the day though it figures things out. I have 3 full mows in now and the first 2 times I kept a close eye and the 3rd time I left it completely unattended and it had no problems that required my intervention at any time. One other concern I have with this mower is leaving it out in the elements. The blade is supposed to be rated to withstand rain and can also handle spraying off with a hose for cleaning which is good. I am mostly concerned with it sitting out in the hot geoegia sun. I purchased a canopy for the mower elsewhere that I am going to try out. I also hear Ecoflow may release their own shelter for the unit at some point. The sun here can destroy almost anything, and let’s face it this is a very expensive product, so protection is a must in my mind. For a long time I’ve dreamed of being able to sit on my patio while my mower does the work for me and it’s finally here! I am very excited about this product! To recap: - don’t expect good results if you have trees, buildings or other things blocking the sky. You need good view of the sky. The light on the back of the mower should be blue (indicating a good signal) as often as possible. Don’t buy this product if your not going to get good GPS reception. Ecoflow has a quiz on their website to determine if this product will work for you. BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS! - make sure you take your time when making maps. This will yield great results. Be patient! - don’t expect this thing to tackle tall grass or weeds. This is meant to maintain, not now an out of control lawn. Don’t expect it to tackle steep hills either. For now I am very happy! I will most certainly be updating this review in the fall when mowing season is over though. I hope this helps someone who is on the fence about this product.

Not Ready for the World…
I was very excited about this product, but was extremely let down. It was not able to successfully mow my yard once, even after greatly reducing the area to avoid problem areas. My yard is not complicated, but there are some trees. That was enough for the GPS to have a poor signal and get more than 15 feet off track. In the front yard I mapped it 6 feet away from the sidewalk just to be safe, but it still got stuck on the sidewalk and I had to rescue it. It also hardly ever made it back to the charging station without getting stuck somewhere in between. So it’s terrible even if you get it setup, but the setup was awful too! The GPS antenna wasn’t detected and I could not update the firmware for two days. Without changing anything, it randomly started working. This kind of intermittent behavior did not give me confidence in it. After mapping my yard, the app then deleted it twice! Finally, the design is cool, but the omnidirectional wheels are terrible for grass. The robot would get the front wheels stuck and the back wheels would just chew up my grass. Maybe there was a patent issue so they couldn’t use casters? Overall, the technology is cool, but not ready for the world. EcoFlow needs to keep maturing this for a while, but for now, it’s going back to the store. With a kid on the way, I was really hoping this would give me more free time, but the time I spent babysitting it this past week has proved that it is not practical for us.

Beta product
I wanted to love this mower but I ultimately ended up returning it because it felt like a beta product not ready for release. First, I’m glad they released updates frequently. But the last update caused me to end up returning it. It became stubborn and afraid to mow the lawn. There are some very obvious design flaws. Like the front wheels being angled cause it to become stuck more often. The charging pads being on the front that also gets into contact with more dirt causes it to complain it can’t charge. I really wanted to like it but there are just too many flaws. It’s a product designed by tech people who don’t have lawns obviously or these big problems would have never existed. I can’t recommend this particular mower right now. If they revise it, I would consider buying it again. But my new robot mower is from a robotics company and while it’s not perfect, it’s miles ahead of Ecoflow.

Great Customer Service.
Update: Changed from 1 star to 3, due to the customer service. After troubleshooting to try to correct the issue, the company offered for me to return the mower for a full refund. The process of the return was easy and relatively quick. Would recommend anyone who decides to try the mower to retain the box until they are sure it is working for them. I was excited to see a robotic lawnmower that did not require a perimeter wire. The cut looks great, however the overlap needs help. I have strips between rows that never get cut. The mower only cuts in one direction. The mower also does not mow to the perimeter that you establish. I would not buy again and most definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Not for a standard yard.
I recently purchased this mower based on the positive information I found in the website's Q&A section. Unboxing and setting it up was a breeze, but I encountered some issues when it came to the signal strength. Despite living in a ranch-style home with a decently sized backyard, even in the middle of the yard, I struggled to establish a strong signal. The presence of trees on the edge of the yard, approximately 100-200 feet away from the house, seemed to further hinder the signal quality. Moving forward, I attempted to test the mower, but I encountered difficulties with its navigation system. Specifically, I suspect there was a problem with the Turing system, as I couldn't get it to move in the right direction. However, it performed adequately when going straight or moving backward. Unfortunately, I couldn't proceed beyond that point. Considering my location in the north midwest, I was surprised by the weak signal reception. Given the issues I experienced, I would recommend exploring alternative brands until the manufacturer resolves these concerns. If they were to incorporate a secondary GPS poll and solar-powered functionality, it could potentially enhance the product's performance. Utilizing triangulation with such features might offer a viable solution. Considering its price, I believe this product is not yet ready for prime time. Additionally, I found the return process to be more complicated compared to the usual seamless Amazon returns. However, I'm still hopeful that things will work out in the end. I remain interested in trying a similar product in the future, and despite the challenges, this company would still be on my radar.

Typical early adopter issues but great mower
BLUF: Good mower, Quiet, but I would buy again. I saw this in a CES youtube video and had to get one. Something about getting a lawn mown autonomously without having to lay boundary wire was really appealing. I bought when available, received and unpacked it, other reviewers have pictures of the unboxing, and set it up. These are my thoughts. Expense: price is a tough pill, but the Husqvarna 435x $3,999, their 315x is $1769, and the gardena Sileno City 250 is $799. All good to great mowers with similar functionality, but the Blade doesn't need a boundary wire and is in the middle of the price field. I felt the price was reasonably justified. Set-up: Easy out of the box and putting together. I Had it put together, wires run and antenna / base in their temporary positions. Advice, don't fix anything in place until you have the app and are going through the set-up on your phone. The ground screws are plastic and while putting only 2 screws in the base, I took them out and put them in three times before I had it in the right place. I had to move it again before I could make a map, but I'll get in to that below. App: Download, create/sign-in to your account, link the Blade to your account, and then the work starts. GPS Antenna - Find a place with 50 feet (ish) of the base station, Ideally no overhead cover with a direct line of sight to the sky, southern sky is ideal. I found a spot off my deck that worked. I have seen through FB and youtube that this is not always easy. My app gave me numbers to 0-100% and as I moved the antenna around to maximize the percentage, I found the app seemed to freeze a bit and I had to hit the refresh button to get an updated signal strength reading. Later, the app constantly updated signal strength. It took 10 or so minutes for this. The app will not let you advance through set-up with out the numbers being within range. Base Station: THe app has you set-up the antenna first. Keep in mind your base station has to be about 50 feet from the outlet and antenna. It has to be line of sight to the antenna and to the sky. I picked a spot and the signal strength was a passable 71% that dropped to a non passable 67% and I moved it 3 times. I cut some limbs of the blocking tree and repositioned it twice more and the app let me advance. I did screw the base down and unscrewed it, moved it, screwed it down probably twice before I figured I should stop. I am going to replace the plastic screws with metal yard screw/spike of similar size, just in case. the plastic screws won't hold as well in tornados, not that the house really would either, but just saying. Once the base is set and the robot is in, you can make a map. This step was about 10 minutes. Map Creation: the robot has to have access to the sky also, or the robot won't move to make the map. Where I placed it, the base was btw 78% and 84%, and the robot was at 31%. I had to move the base 2 more times. It was not a huge deal as I was expecting something like that. I was notified of an update, 6 minutes as it was not on my network yet. Once all robot lights were blue and I started to map. I waked behind it and traced out my yard. Manual control of the robot was fine, easy learning curve, and I walked around it and once complete I cut my yard. This step was about 25 minutes, mainly waiting for the blue lights to allow me to create the map. To note: cut your grass without the robot before you map as the object detection is...sensitive... as of this writing. I had my yard cut over the weekend, but I read one person experienced their mower stopping for a dandelion flower. I tested the rain sensor with my sprinklers and it stopped and returned to base as expected. I noticed when I first mowed the robot would turn within 12-18 inches of the boundary, leaving a huge section of uncut grass. The picture attached to this review is taken during on of these boundary turns. I went into the app and found "edge work mode" under automation and that seems to have fixed it. I set my grass height at 1.5, 2.6 and 3.1 inches; very smooth transition. I plan on updating this over time. See how long it lasts, blade changing, other issues and resolutions. I hope this helps-

Robo Mower: Works great but
Disclaimer: I paid for this robo nower myself with my own money. I am not an influencer and I have no financial incentive for writing this review. BLUF: 5 stars review for the great warranty, customer svc support, and replacement blades. 5 stars also if your yard is suited for this robo mower. Make sure you use the interactive tool on the ecoflow website to determine whether this robo mower is suitable for your yards. 16MAY Positive Update: Both Ecoflow technical support and customer service reached out to me to offer their support and I was impressed with their genuine/sincere actions to rectify my issues. I recommend that new users use the interactive checklist on the Ecoflow website to see if the blade is suitable for your lawn. Unfortunately, I didn't see and as a result use the checklist. This was my fault. BLUF: If you have a picture perfect lawn with no slope, straight boundaries, and no tall trees and shades then this mower is perfect for you. However, if you don't then wait until a little longer for the technology to catch up because this unit is heavily dependent on accurate and unobstructed GPS signal (more on that below). GPS: This mower actually uses satellite navigation systems called GNSS. GNSS consist of GPS which is own by the US Government, Galileo (EU), and GLONASS (Russia). The mower uses all three systems in order to get a super pin point accuracy when mowing. The mowing path is super straight and with minimum overlapping. When this thing works perfectly then the mowing pattern line is a laser sharp grid square. However, here is the flaw: The signals transmitted by GNSS satellites are extremely low power, and as such, have very little penetrating ability. Materials that have a high water content, such as leaves from deciduous trees, cause the GPS signal to be attenuated to the point it becomes unusable. Therefore, If you have multiple large trees on your front yard then forget about it. For example, If you are using GPS for jogging or navigating on a long road trip then you really don't need super accurate GPS signal. You can be off by 1-10ft and you are still ok. However, because this robo mower mows on a razer sharp path then it requires an accurate resolution that are in 0.1 to 1ft. Any deviation will cause the robo mower to go off track. Here are some of the Pros and Cons of this unit. PROs: -Futuristic design and compact docking station. -Very high-quality look & feel -Good mowing performance even when the grass is tall. -Very simple and fast setup. Extremely easy and quick setup. -Useful app with many available options. -Cutting length is adjustable via the app. -4G support available via eSIM. -Good mowing performance, even in tall grass. -Can also collect leaves and other debris. CONs: -Needs a clear view of the sky for accurate GPS location. -Expensive. -Camera cannot be used for remote monitoring. -Few options are available to connect it to the smart home. -Wheels and docking station are susceptible to dirt.
