Warranty in the USA
The reel even thought it comes from Japan has manufactures warranty for one year that can be sent tho Diawa company in California. I know because I returned it with no hassles and was fixed for free. Don’t be scared to buy it. It’s legit.

You have to know how to read the screen instructions
I have been using the 1200 in the last 3 years mainly for trolling & some deep drop. I purchased 4 reels I enjoy from a reliable & powerful reel. If I can find it in a sale,I will buy 2-3 more

Honestly didnt have high hope's. Seemed like to good of a deal. Little odd how they change price and shipping times often, but took the gamble and reel arrived pretty fast. Great packaging exactly what i wanted for cheap!

Great purchase
I was always little bit hesitant about purchasing this because it ships from Japan. Everything worked out great. It was shipped after several days and only took a couple more days to get here. The seller sent tracking information and I was able to watch for the delivery. Great price, great shipping, great seller, great reel, what else could I ask for? I ordered another one!

DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU WANT A WARRANTY!!!
DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU WANT A WARRANTY. These are JDM models. The warranty is only valid in Japan. From what I have read there’s a very good chance you will need the warranty. Not to mention all paperwork is in Japanese and I can’t figure out how to turn the thing on. Either it’s not working or there’s a non-obvious trick to turning it on.

The reel is awesome, this my second one and happy with it. Easy to use, powerful.

I loaded the Seapower 800 today with Daiwa J 8X 65lb braid, Seapower turned on, powered up, I followed the online instructions in English, reel spooled up beautifully with ~800m. Ready for the deep drops of Western Australia. Excellent experience with amazon.
