Fantastic!
Some of the reviews on this product are very unfair. Once assembled, the planter is by far the best I have seen. The tube in the centre makes watering very easy. It may not look attractive but once strawberry plants grow you don’t actually see the planter itself, just a beautiful column of high yielding strawberries. It is fiddly to put together and the instructions, while in good English, are difficult to visualise but with a little perseverance I was easily able to assemble it in 15 minutes. I haven’t used the net as I doubt it would provide any protection against squirrels. Mine is now 18 months old and shows no signs of falling apart! Highly recommended and I have just purchased two more at just over £30 which is a bargain.

Don't buy. Poor quality. Won't last more than one season
Cheap. Nasty. Low Quality materials. Hard to assembled. I like a challenge but no picture instructions. Net too small. Watering tube too loose. Would suggest cable tie. Cups very poor flimsy design. I think they may hold in place when soil added. It will probably work as a planter but a lot of hassle for something that won't last more than one season. Its made if plastic cardboard. Also not as shown with criss cross design. Plain terracotta colour. Impossuble to put tension wires on. I had to put them on with c end on the top as cant get in otherwise. Don't waste your money. Look for alternative

Reasonable product; poor instruction sheet.
Well; I like many others was a bit wary of buying this product after reading the reviews, but being experienced at putting together complicated things I took the plunge. However, I think that if there was a better alternative on the market then that would take the sales. It took around an hour which surprised me, as I thought it would be quicker to assemble having so few parts. Eventually got it together but the top to bottom were not holding together tight enough. Tip: get a large pair of pliers on the rods and twist, making a kink in them, until it tensions correctly. The cups need stretching, as has been mentioned before, or they fall out. You certainly need a base on castors so that you can rotate it towards the sun. Trying to manually shift it around would be impossible once it's full of compost. Once it's planted up it does appear to be a lot more ridged and should do the job nicely. Construction was not aided by the complete lack of illustrations on the assembly sheet (just how long would it have taken the manufacturers to do this?) and the best guide is to look at the picture on the box. The instruction 'make sure you have the centre section up the right way' was not that helpful as it didn't actually tell you what way up was correct (look at the box again) and may have confused some people. To sum up I suppose it was priced about right but could have been improved by a decent instruction leaflet with illustrations. If you have trouble putting a flat pack bedroom cabinet together I'd say avoid this product!

Looking forward to a treat.
I was a little concerned about the Strawberry Barrel Planter being stable enough. The cups where the plants sit are a little flimsy because of bad moulding, they are slightly thinner on one side to the other but I forced them open slightly to make sure they clipped into the hole provided. Make sure you leave it where you fill it though, the rim will crack very easly. I suggest you buy seedlings because they fit nicely into the cups and grow very quickly. The container is also attractive in our small fully paved garden among a few flower pots and two tomato plants. I put a picture of it with my granddaughter next to it on Facebook. I was looking for a sauser (drip tray) to go under it but they cost a small fortune and see now it isn't needed. Now I'm looking forward to the fruits of my labour. Its well worth buying and not complicated to assemble.

Tacky look. Very plastic and body flimsy. Do not recommend.
Product took a lifetime to arrive. Well beyond estimated dates. Says "terracotta style" but very plastic and not consistent in colour between rim and body. Looks tacky and gutted I chose it as a gift. I did make some complaints regarding delivery and company was quick to respond and polite in their communications but wouldnt recommend as quality of product is awful and took 2 people to construct (albeit my elderly folks). Central pipe for watering is practical but ugly.

great idea
Definitely need more than 2 hands to assemble. Quite tricky. Otherwise, it really works well

Cheap trash
It is complete and utter cheap trash. In wasn’t expecting a terracotta masterpiece but this looks like a DIY job made on Blue Peter. the Photo is not a good indication of what it actually is, I was expecting plastic side panels which clip together but it is cheap corrigated bendy stuff which is flimsy to say the least. Bear in mind that once full of soil you won’t be able to move it without it falling apart.

COULD BE BETTER
I was very dissapointed with the quality of the product it was delivered to me quickly with all the parts and even though it took two people to assemble it I eventually got it together. The main problem was the centre of the barrell was scored badly on the creases and was difficult to get into the base. Also the net supplied was to short to cover the barrel either that or the net support pole was too long. The plastic cups were flimsy and moved around until I filled it with compost. I persisted with the planting and it looks OK but feel what is a very good design could be a lot better with higher quality materials for example a properly hinged solid plastic centre piece even if the price was raised to match. To be fair to the company, when I complained they responded very quickly and offered me a percentage refund which I accepted. They also said if I had returned the planter unused they would have given a refund or replacement.
