Put this next to any other air purifier around the same size and price, no contest. I just returned a LeVoit I bought for the same price. Boy was that dumb. Louder than hell, super weak air flow, and smelled like toxic plastics. It was absolute CRAP. This Blueair is very quiet, has amazing air flow, smells like clean air, and looks SO much classier to boot (Scandinavian styling). I have another bigger Blueair in my office. It's been going for years (+ filter changes). Still works perfectly. Sometimes you get what you pay for. But other times, even when you pay the same, you don't. So shop smart. There's a reason good brands are good and cheaper ones aren't!!

I’ve been looking for a solid air purifier that wouldn't break the bank, and after seeing this one for around $100, I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home recently. What I Love: Whisper Quiet: This was the dealbreaker for me. On the lowest setting (sleep mode), I can barely hear it at all. Even on the medium setting, it’s just a very gentle white noise that doesn't interfere with the TV or sleep. Noticeable Air Quality: I have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and within two days, the "stale" pet smell in my living room was completely gone. The air just feels... crisper. Sleek Design: It’s compact enough to sit in a corner without being an eyesore, and the controls are super intuitive. The Verdict: If you’re looking for something effective without spending $400 on a high-end brand name, this is the sweet spot. It does exactly what it promises and stays quiet while doing it. Definitely worth the $100 investment if you have allergies or pets!

I like the effectiveness of this air purifier so as far as performance goes, I think it should have five stars. Since there’s no way of testing air quality and we just have to go on faith, I’m guessing that it’s a good quality machine. However, clearly it was designed with aesthetics in mind and not practicality. It’s difficult to turn on an off or to know how to turn it higher or lower. You do this with a series of taps on the top ring. It’s very Star Trek in a very unnecessary way. I love Star Trek. I love everything about Star Trek. I don’t think even they would’ve kept this on the enterprise because it’s too annoying to use , however, having said that I just turned mine on low and keep it on all the time. I have noticed that environmental allergies bother me much less this year. If you are into the super modern look and have the gray walls that all designers think everyone should have now, you might love this look and usage facility might not bother you. I don’t think an older person would be able to use this easily. The only thing that lets you know if it’s on or off is a light that shines for a moment when you tap it. There is delay in the action so you don’t know if you’ve actually turned it up higher or turned it off for a few seconds, so if you’re impatient like me and tap it again, you’ll probably accidentally turn it off and have to start all over again . Again, weird design, leaving you confused. Is very silent and that’s a big plus. It probably deserves one more star, but I’m too annoyed with the lack of the on and off clarity to increase my stars. Here’s an idea, how about somebody make a vintage looking air purifier with simple on off switches, make it look like a vintage radio. I bet that would be a big seller, the nice old-fashioned knobs. On and off. I have no idea how I’m going to change the filter when it’s time to change it, the whole thing is a mystery as to how it’s assembled, and I wish they would just include a few extra filters with the purchase so then you weren’t trying to figure out what kind of machine you have and which kind of filters to buy six months later. I’d be willing to pay extra to have the extra filters delivered with the purchase. If I sound annoyed it’s because I am. But I’m sure the machine is good quality. Updated review 9/11/24: The machine is actually silent on low. It’s been on all day and I didn’t even know it. You literally cannot hear it at all on its lowest setting. It also did a great job getting rid of a smell that was from something burned in my kitchen. So it is a very effective machine. I also now am wondering if the thing that I found fault with is actually a benefit to older people with arthritis if they cannot turn a knob, then just tapping the top might be very helpful to them. In fact, anyone with mobility issues could put this beside their bed and just tap it at night in the dark and it would be easy to use for them. Because it is silent, it will not work for you as a white noise machine. I’m now going to add a star. Xo

We have had this machine since around 2020 and it works great. I replace the inner filters every 6 months. The outer cover helps make the filter last longer. It had various speeds and noise levels. Overall I would say it’s quiet. It helps reduce dust accumulation, smells and allergies. It is very lightweight and portable, it has been a great value and is still running great five years later. My only complaint is that I have to reset the filter notification. Sometimes it takes me a bit a couple of attempts to reset the notification lights.

Got this for the nursery when my kid was born. Had it running on low 24hrs a day for 2.5 years. It was so quiet I often forgot it was there. It reduced dust significantly in the nursery compared to the rest of the house and created a light airflow that just felt comfortable. It was still running strong until my now toddler decided to dump her juice down the top. After one night without it, I could tell the difference in "stale" air in her room. Immediately replaced it.

I love this air purifier so much I bought a second & am considering buying a third for another room in my house. I've had them for going on a year & they're still working great. I can really tell the difference when it's running. I have one room that always smells musty & with this running I don't smell it anymore. On the lowest setting I can barely hear it & I'm sensitive to sounds.

Le but de cet achat était initialement destiné à purifier l’air de ma chambre l’hiver, lorsqu’il fait très froid et que les fenêtres sont collées, ou à certaines périodes du printemps, lorsqu’il y a trop de pollen dans l’air pour pouvoir aérer. J’ai reçu cet article parfaitement protégé et avec un emballage du fabricant que j’ai trouvé astucieux. Une fois reçu, j’ai immédiatement mis en fonction ce purificateur d’air, afin de vérifier s’il était en état de marche. Mise en marche : Grâce au mode d’emploi redirigé aussi en français, la mise en marche s’est faite facilement. Je suis satisfaite d’avoir pu lire les explications dans ma langue (je suis francophone). En appuyant une fois sur le bouton situé sur le dessus, c’est le mode silencieux pour la nuit ou le repos; en appuyant deux fois, c’est le mode normal; en appuyant trois fois, c’est le mode à toute puissance. Observation de ce processus : Il n’y a pas de bouton qui semble s’enfoncer, donc parfois je frôle le dessus et je parviens facilement à changer de mode, parfois il faut davantage appuyer. Je n’ai pas réussi à comprendre où se situe le « capteur » s’il y en a un. Ce serait le seul point négatif que j’aurais à signaler. Pas de télécommande pour ce premier prix, cela me convient parfaitement pour ma chambre. C’est suffisant pour mon usage. Résultat de la filtration : J’ai laissé fonctionner le purificateur environ 1h ou 2h (durée au hasard), puis je suis retournée dans ma chambre. C’est incroyable la sensation de frais que j’ai ressentie! J’ai senti immédiatement la différence, au point que j’ai décidé de m’en servir encore dès maintenant (pas uniquement pour l’hiver), tant j’ai été contente, ravie et impressionnée du résultat. Usage en mode silencieux : Bien que je sois très sensible au bruit en général, j’ai dormi plusieurs nuits avec le purificateur d’air en action en mode silencieux. Et cela s’est très bien passé, à ma grande surprise. Mon confort respiratoire s’est nettement amélioré grâce à cet appareil. Autres modes : Le mode normal est supportable en journée, mais peut-être pas de nombreuses heures consécutives si la personne reste dans la pièce. Très bonne efficacité rapide. Le mode en toute puissance est très bruyant, donc à utiliser lorsque c’est temporaire. Personnellement, je l’ai utilisé lorsque j’ai changé mes draps pour les laver, tout en ayant aéré avant ou après. Si je l’utilise, je ferme la porte de la chambre. Par contre, bien que je sois ravie de mon achat, j’ai faussement cru qu’il y avait un affichage de la qualité de l’air avec un voyant lumineux. Je me suis mélangée avec les photos que j’ai consultées. Donc il serait souhaitable d’indiquer qu’il n’y a pas de télécommande, ni de connexion avec le téléphone, ni d’affichage de la qualité de l’air. Cet appareil me convient parfaitement, à ceci près que j’aurais peut-être préféré investir dans le modèle juste au-dessus qui a le voyant de la qualité de l’air. Conclusion : Je suis très satisfaite de mon achat, en dépit de la difficulté que j’ai parfois à savoir appuyer correctement sur le dessus (j’y parviens toujours). Selon notre budget, nous investisserons possiblement dans un second modèle de cette marque spécialisée, qui aurait un voyant indiquant la qualité de l’air. Je dois préciser quand même que j’ai choisi cette pour ses « compétences », et ce modèle parmi la gamme selon la superficie de ma chambre et le prix abordable du Vendredi fou. Bref, merci à la marque d’exister au Canada. Soyez bien alertes sur les comparaisons de modèles. Enfin, je dirais que ce modèle serait parfait dans une chambre, que ce soit pour un enfant ou un bébé ou des adultes, ou bien dans une petite pièce destinée au télétravail. Bon magasinage!

The one I really wanted was the 311 but price point etc, so I got this one. It literally just arrived today brand new in the box and very simple to basically plug n play. Will update if I feel the need to return, but so far so good, its is on and running in my bedroom, will see if I sleep better tonight with it running since it arrived. Will update after a few days with my verdict on this smaller unit. Wildfire season here has started, so far no smoke in my area, but just judging with the number of fires already going, it is just a matter of time to see how well this air purifier will work for that. But jsut for sleeping and being less stuffy in the morning would be pretty awesome too. UPDATE MAY 8 2025 only been a day, but it was in my bedroom running all night, definitely quiet, no blaring lights that stay on all night long that will keep you awake and even though just one night, there was a significant difference in my breathing/stuffy nose when I wake up, barely there. Now I did do some major dusting with ceiling fans that were quite bad for dust just before bed so waking up feeling as clear as I did seemed to be a really good sign

I am glad I purchased this air purifier on Prime Day. It is on the pricier side however, I am impressed by the performance so far. This air purifier has a lower setting that runs quietly which works well in the bedroom. The size of the unit is on the larger side compared to my existing air purifier but overall, the look of it is modern and sleek due to the design and the removable fabric wrap. So far I’ve been using it for almost 2 weeks and it seems to be working fine and I haven’t had any uptick in allergies.

It's hard for me to make comparisons since this is my first air purifier. It works very well, is easy to use, and its size makes it easy to place in various spots without taking up too much space. As for its appearance, it looks quite good and has a modern design. The only minor drawback is the cost of replacing the filters, which can be a bit expensive. However, I assume this is the case with other brands as well.
