This kit works as intended! I bought it to sharpen my pole saw chain and it even comes with a nice foldable pouch for storage. I'm still learning the ropes, but with the help of some online tutorials, I did a pretty decent job for a newbie. If you have little experience sharpening chains or get frustrated easily, I would recommend just buying a pack of new chains instead – they run for around the same price.

I'm really impressed with the Hipa 12 Pack Chainsaw Sharpener Kit! It has everything you need to keep your chainsaw sharp. The kit includes all the common round file sizes (5/32" to 13/64"), plus a flat file and essential depth and quick check gauges. This means I can sharpen all my chains correctly. It's easy to use, and my chainsaw cuts much better after using this kit. If you want to keep your chainsaw in top shape, this is a fantastic and complete set. Highly recommend!

I have always had trouble keeping track of my saw files. This is the perfect solution. It fits in the pocket behind my truck seat. No more rusted files from being stored in a plastic toolbox in my truck bed. Or losing the file storing it in some other compartment inside my truck, only to find it later when I’m looking for something else. The saw files seem to be high quality. I’ve only used them once but I am very pleased with the quality and value of this item.

I received the Hipa Chain Saw kit today! It seems like a very nice tool kit for chain saw chain sharpening. All the guides, files, and file handle seem like quality tools to use to keep your chain saw cutting as it should. The pouch keeps everything in order and ready for quick use! A versatile kit, especially if you own more than one chain saw or chain size! I was very disappointed to learn that none of the guides/tools come with any instructions on how to use the guide(s) or tools. There is not even a website provided to download instructions on how to use any of the guides or tools. There is a flat tool that has a semi-hook on one end that I think is used to pick wood shavings out of your teeth because I can't understand how its design has anything to do with a chain saw chain! The product description says the kit can be used by beginners....but if so, it sure would help to give some direction on how to use the guides/tools correctly. I paid almost $20 for the kit and think the tools in the kit provide a good value. But, if you don't know how to use the guides and products correctly, you could do more damage to your chain saw chain than good! Too bad the kit won't help you with guidance, especially "for beginners"!
