Is it Large enough for a 20lb turkey

A 20lb turkey would not fit on this grill. It has 155 square inches of cooking space and is big enough for approximately 4 steaks, 6 chicken breast,and 8 burgers.

is the cooking grate meant to sit on the tabs or on fire bowl ?

The cooking grates are meant to sit on the tabs in the body and should not rest on the fire bowl.

So the manual says one tool is needed and they provide it - 7/16 wrench......but, you get to the handle and the tool does not fit or work, what now?
