Easy to hang and spray.
I have put mine up and in a few hours they have trapped a few yellow flies. Wish me luck. These yellow flies are horrible. Didn't have any. But this year they are harific. Hang before you spay and won't have to use gloves. I live in the south east part of the country. I so hope these work!!

Waste of money.
To bad you can not upload video. You will see Deer fly land on the balls, become a little stuck, but with a little effort, they un-stick them selves and fly off. Totally useless. I know you are desperate to eradicate deer flies, but this is not the solution. $70 bucks robbery for selling such rubbish.

Over priced.
I know these work. I used blue solo cups and balloons in the past. I thought this would be a permanent solution but one of the balls won’t hold air and they are not much thicker than balloons. Just order the glue and make your own. Good product just overpriced.

Had my doubts but works Great!
I had my doubts whether this would work or not, and if it would collect other more useful flying creatures (like dragon flies, or honey bees). But after only three days all three balls are covered in nothing but horse flies! I am impressed! +Update - I have ordered these a few times and all of the previous orders have been exactly as described. This years order the Spray adhesive didn't react like previous years. Instead of a fine mist that was tacky from the outset, this years spray came out in strings, and needed to be reapplied because it was NOT sticky. I had to reduce the rating from 5 stars to 4.

Works good
It took a few days to start catching flies, but after two weeks there's a noticeable difference in the number of flies flying around. After about a week or after a heavy rain, you do need to reapply the glue.

they work - what more do you need to know...
Pump it up, spray on the 'sticky spray', and hang them in a place that will get a bit of sun (to warm up the ball, which is what attracts the little stinkers), and breeze (to make the ball sway a bit -- combination of 'heat' and 'movement' are the main triggers). I put up 3 of these at various places on my 3 acres, and honestly, haven't had a deer or horse fly problem since. After 8 weeks, both balls are completely covered with the bugs (so, I don't have flies to deal with because the balls work, not because I had no flies to begin with). If you can deal with the 'visual' (I refer to the them as 'death stars'), these are absolutely the best value for dollar I've found for biting fly control.

Most ineffective BS I ever brought
This expensive bull____ was the most INEFFECTIVE mess I ever brought! Such a waste of money! I put it out and attracted more flies but do you think any landed on the ball.... no! It's like the flies were to smart to fall for it. Don't waste your time or money just ordered the fly magnet in hopes that it cleans up the mess the bug ball created with the flies I been had and the ones this epic fail attracted.

Cost-effective and works!
We've been using a Horse Pal trap on our property for 10 years or more. It works on the same attraction principle. The problem is that, at over $300 a pop, we can't afford to put them all over the property. This year, we put 6 of these Bug Balls into service and WHAT A DIFFERENCE it has made! We noticed an almost overnight decline in the population of marsh/deer flies. At the end of the season, we can just hang them up in the rafters of our shed, re-apply Tanglefoot in the Spring and Bob's your uncle.
