Great for those having difficulty drinking from a cup
I am not sure I can say enough good things about the Honey Bear cup. This cup is great for kids that are just learning to drink from a straw. This cup is used a lot for children with special needs that have difficulty drinking from a cup. The cup is made from plastic this is soft enough that you can squeeze the liquid up through the straw. This helps teach the child how to use the straw before the know how to suck. The straw is clear and flexible. The straw reminds me of aquarium tubing but is not so thick of material but has a larger opening. The cup comes with a flip open lid that will close and is spill proof. This cup will work with just about any liquids. I have used it with thickened liquids and the kids are able to get them up the straw because the straw has more of an opening than a regular straw. I have used this type of cup with a lot of kids have seen great results. This cup is affordable and seems to last a long time. I have had no complaints and parents have seen huge successes in learning to drink from a cup with this.

Autism mom approved
My son is two years old with autism and no matter what I did I couldn’t get him to drink from a straw. He just wanted to bite it, he didn’t understand to suck out of it like his sippy cups. One of his therapist told me about this bottle and I bought it the same day. He literally got it within 5 seconds of using it and is now only using his toddler tumbler with a straw to drink out of. I threw this bottle away after the first 3 days of using it because I no longer needed it. It definitely did its job and I don’t see it as something you have your kids use all the time. I see reviews complaining about it it leaking or what ever but it’s literally just to get your kids to understand how a straw works it’s not ment to be an everyday cup for them to use for months. It’s worth the buy if you can’t get your kiddo to use a straw any other way.

Great starter
My son learned to drink from a straw within minutes with this drinking cup. Not only is it cute, but makes the whole process very easy. The child does not need to suck very hard to get water out, and the tiniest squeeze of the bottle makes the water travel up the straw. Its a great learning tool. My only criticism is that when my son threw the bottle, the cover broke off. Not a big deal because it was still usable to cover the straw, its just now a separate piece. Maybe if the plastic hinge was a little thicker, it would be more durable.

Very easy to use
These cups are perfect for teaching your little one how to drink from a straw. My only complaint is the straw is a little difficult to pull through the top. It’s easy for baby to hold while you squeeze to help baby drink.

Do not get. Horrible quality.
I’m very dissatisfied with the cup. Dispite the fact it would probably work, I now refuse to use it for my daughter. I bought it and the straw looks like it was just tubing cut and still has writing on it. It smells like plastic and the awful smell doesn’t go away after washing multiple times. I left cold milk in it in the fridge and luckily tried it before giving it to my daughter bc it smelled like plastic and it tasted exactly how it smelled, I had to spit it out. And no it wasn’t spoiled milk. It was the plastic smell/ particles leaking into the milk. I do not see how this is food grade? The paint was also rubbing off the bears nose and eyes.

Very fair review but a little long.
It is hard to give this drinking bear three stars because it is made very cheaply and very expensive for what you get. I have only used it, at most, 10 times and the lid is already breaking off and I have been very careful when opening it because I did read the reviews. Even before the first use I have only hand wash it. The face is already coming off (not a big deal though) and I have only washed the outside, gently, I believe the bottle part (bear not lid) being made cheaply (thin) is on purpose so it works properly. The idea is to squish the bottle to get the drink up to the kids mouth so the child can learn how to use a straw. I have to squish it the whole time because my daughter is handicapped and she is losing the ability to drink on her own. My hands get soar quickly. If the plastic was made Thicker I’m not sure I could keep the bottle squished in for the length of time my daughter needs. I can never let the pressure ease up. Final words. I think it is a great idea and there is a learning curve. I wish the lid was made better, I wish there was a disk at the bottom of the straw to hold it down (the straw is always bent because to store the drink to use during the day I have to push the straw back in the bear. Otherwise you can’t close the lid. Also, In one sitting I have to keep the bear 3/4 of the way full. No more or the liquid squishes out before it’s in the kids mouth) and finally it is way over priced and that is the biggest reason I want to give it two stars. It’s worth a try if you can deal with what I’ve wrote.

The paint is flaking off. I just unboxed it and it’s like this. Very worrying as a baby might just put the bottle in her mouth and I test the paint. For the price, the quality doesn’t match . Kindly assist in replacing or refunding. thanks

It’s very expensive for the quality of plastic. But it does the job and doesn’t leak

The flap broke off easily and how much ever you wash the bottle the water tastes bitter and plasticky .. disappointing
