This is really good pesto. It tastes great and lasts a lot longer than other brands once opened as long as you keep it in the fridge. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering it by post but it arrived well packaged and intact.

This pesto is noticeably more complex and tastier than any other that I have found so far. I assume that being made from fresh basil is the key. There has been a slow deterioration in the quality of pesto in my experience, with authentic olive oil replaced by any cheap vegetable oil and pine nuts shifting to a similar-looking bland nut from China and now mostly bits of cashew. One big Italian name is even diluting theirs with potato… This Seggiano brand is using some cashews with actual pine nuts, so no five stars given its high price. Real pesto made fresh is in a different league, but this one is a good second.

This is amazing stuff. I have been buying it for years ever since my local Italian deli recommended it. Expensive but worth it. Recently there seems to be far more oil than originally. Why not just stick with the original formulation and put the price up a little?

As a lover of all Seggiano goods, this one surpasses all the others! It is superb. A lot of money, but when we come to use it we will savour every single mouthful.

This is wonderful ... I just ordered 6 more. Yummy. Not too salty. Full of flavor. SO good for you!! I put this on everything from soup to eggs! It is fantastic cold, hot and at room temperature. The texture is smooth with an occasional "bite" of leaf. Although a specific flavor, this seems to blend in with everything. The price is up there, but so far I've never taken a bite and not thought it was worth it. My only concern is that if this gets too popular, the price will rocket. I just came by to order more, and I see there has been an increase since my last order in late 2013, but it is nominal -- only about 50 cents. The seller is great; shipping as always been exceptionally swift and a jar has never even so much as leaked. Great, healthy item!! Oh dear ........... I must admit, I wish I'd purchased this a month ago when the price was only $10.00 per jar. I'm eating my words about the nominal increase in price, sadly. $13.00 is getting up there ... I will have to re-think keeping this on the shelves now. Shipping is not free unless you buy quite a few, so .......' Still - It's pretty tasty stuff!!

This pesto is outstanding - worth every penny. The company doesn't make a big deal out of it, but besides the product being extremely delicious, it is vegan as well. It is also free of garlic. So you can add the amount that works best for you (or leave it out if it doesn't agree with you). Nice!

I tried this out on 12 women who are very good cooks. They all loved it. I did mix it with a fresh Pest from the grocery store and I put it on top of a gluten free pasta. I mixed two types of cheese in it along with yellow and red tomatoes. Excellent.

If you are a pesto fan, definitely check out Seggiano. We love pesto and have tried a wide variety of prepared versions, as well as making our own. Although a bit more expensive than most, we found this to have the best flavor and balance - not too oily, as we found in some other jarred pesto. We liked it so much, we gave it as favors to guests at our wedding. Highly recommend this product.

Seggiano offers a great product , which is very versatile . This works as a traditional pesto on pasta , great pan sauce with EVOO ,white wine and capers for fish or foul , great addition to vinaigrette for salad or antipasti , works well with bruschetta , nice topper spread on pizza ..... the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
