It does the job for a reasonable price.
This product met my needs perfectly. Installed on a job site office trailer's holding tank, it prevents overflow and eliminates constant manual checking. Setup was simple, and it's worked flawlessly since it’s been put in service. High level alerts are sent via text and email to myself and colleagues. No other product matched its features or price.

High quality, well designed product
This product is excellent for my needs. It has strong components, strong functionality, and great support. The water sensor can detect low OR high water levels and the water sensor is very high quality stainless. The lead wire from the water sensor to the circuit box is long enough for almost any application I could imagine. The unit uses replaceable, low cost batteries, and the functionality is well thought out - It will send you notifications (email and text) and high water, low water, low battery, etc. There is no ability to poll the unit in realtime, but I understand that adding this capability would come at the cost of much lower battery life. Unit was easy to connect to my wireless network. Great quality product.

Water level monitoring made easy
I am using this to monitor low water levels in our garden pond during the winter when the water refill system is shut down. It sends a email and text so I can avoid the pump running dry. Works perfect so far. Easy WiFi connection and setup

Working great for me on a water tank
Just what I was looking for. I have a 5000 gallon water tank that I share with a neighbor. And the tank is close to their house. This makes it tricky since the tank is far away. Using wifi works great (on my neighbor's network). And I love getting a text message & email when my tank goes below 80% full (that is where I set it). That being said this is a confusing type of device. Here are some things that might help when considering this: 1) This device will only tell you one thing. In my case it tells me when the water level drops below 80%. You can also reverse a metal ring so that instead of telling you when the water goes below a certain level, you can have it tell you if the water goes above a certain level. For instance you could put the sensor right at a "95% full" height inside your tank and this could tell you when the tank gets full. It will NOT tell you both things. So if you want to know both a low point AND a high point, you need two of these. One data point is good enough for my situation. 2) When you go to set it up I would suggest writing down the name and password for your wifi network and any phone numbers and emails you want to enter. I was not able to copy and paste these. Once you're on the setup screen you can't switch apps (on an iPhone anyway). 3) If you need to change the batteries you need to loosen 4 screws to get inside. These are on the front so you can leave the unit mounted in place. The whole front panel comes off (the screws can fall out so be careful ... maybe add washers inside to fix this). One nice thing: once you set up the device, changing batteries will not require you to re-enter settings. It remembers. 4) This relies on a reliable wifi connection. My neighbor's wifi stopped working a day after I set it up and they were out of town so I couldn't do anything about it. After a day or so I got a text message saying that there was a communication error and I should check the wifi connection. That is extremely helpful! Fyi ... once my neighbor got back and reset the modem and router it starting working again by itself. And has been working perfectly for over a month now. 5) Last thing: the sensor simply hangs down into the water tank. You need to suspend it one way or another to set the level that you want to monitor. There is a thick string that goes around the top of my water tank that holds up the liner. So I was able to simply loop the wire of this sensor around that string a few times and let it hang in the tank. I think they included tape to hold the wire in place although I found I didn't need it. Very happy.

Quit working
Worked for a few months, then quit. I liked the first one I bought because it worked when installed, so bought another for our cabin. They've both quit working now after several months.

Good high water alarm.
This is a great little device that comes in handy for detecting high water levels. I’ve used it for 3 months now. It’s easy to set up and use in about 10 minutes. I tested it a few times by dipping it in water and it almost instantly notifies me via text message and email that the water is too high. You can set up how you want to be notified during the installation process. When I remove it from the water it sends a text message and email telling me the alert has been canceled. So it works great but I only gave it 4 stars because the product would be better if it could be controlled by an app. With a phone app you could turn the unit on and off and you could see the battery life. As it is you just have to wait for it to run out of battery and test it just to know the battery is dead. I’d rather replace the battery when I know it’s down to 10%. Other than that it’s easy to set up and it does what it’s supposed to do.

This thing works perfectly!
This thing works perfectly! Our sump pump failed the other day and I never knew about it until we just happened to see that the basement was flooding. I vowed to purchase something to notify us BEFORE the sump filled up. This product is the exact right thing for that. It provides great peace of mind for our family and safety for our basement. With free email and SMS notifications for life, it is a real bargain too. Please buy this, so that the company can afford to continue to provide FREE email and SMS services for owners. :-)

Undependable Connectivity
Good idea—simple device. I wanted to use it to give me a warning when tidal flooding got bad and we need to move the cars. But the WiFi disconnects all the time despite my troubleshooting so it’s not dependable and therefore not worth the money.

La mejor compra que he hecho. El dispositivo funciona muy bien y ya no hay sorpresas cuando te quedas sin agua. Lo recomiendo.

Excellent product, amazing customer service, top notch build quality and setup was a breeze. I highly recommend going with this smart water level monitor. 5 stars!!! Below is some useful feedback from the Risinglink support team: "First, the Risinglink device is designed to conserve battery power. To achieve this, it spends the vast majority of its time in sleep mode. The device typically wakes up about every 12 hours to reconnect to Wi-Fi and send a routine daily check-in to our cloud server. It will also wake up immediately if the float sensor detects a water level change and needs to send an alert. Once the check-in or alert has been sent successfully, the device disconnects from Wi-Fi and returns to sleep mode right away. In normal operation, the device remains in sleep mode more than 99% of the time, which keeps power consumption extremely low. In fact, we have observed many Risinglink devices maintaining healthy battery levels even after a year of use in different Wi-Fi environments. Because of this low-power design, the device does not continuously monitor the Wi-Fi connection. Therefore, if your Wi-Fi network goes down (for example during a short power outage), the device will not send a real-time notification specifically indicating that Wi-Fi has been lost. However, if a water level alert occurs while the Wi-Fi network is down, the device will attempt to reconnect to Wi-Fi repeatedly until it succeeds in sending the alert. In this situation, the device will temporarily consume more battery power, since it needs to keep trying to reconnect. Under normal Wi-Fi conditions, the device reconnects quickly, sends the alert, and immediately returns to sleep mode to conserve battery. In addition, our cloud server monitors the online status of your device every day. If the server does not receive a routine check-in within 24 hours, it interprets the device as being offline and sends you a “Device OFFLINE” notification. While this alert is not generated in real time, it is still very helpful in informing you if there has been an issue with your Wi-Fi network or device connectivity for an extended period." Based on this feedback, I'm considering making sure my modem/router will have power during a power outage since that's a critical time that I would need to know of a high water situation if I'm away.

Cada vez que se corta la luz (lo cual es frecuente), tengo que subir al techo y hacer un reinicio completo para conectarme nuevamente al WiFi. ¡Producto inútil para mí!
