Bought these for woodworking. I find them superior to my Jorgensen f clamps, by far. The steel frame is extremely rigid. Also, the threads are well-cut and operation very smooth. Easier to use too- they don't have a mechanism that holds position, so slides easily for adjustment. Add a rubber band if needed. But it slides onto the workpiece, you slide the head into position, and in 1/2 turn there's great clamping. Def overkill but more economical. The top of the F, being flat, easily allows one to cut slots in e.g. a portable bench, just cut a mortise in the side, slide the flat head in, and there ya go- secure holding without the clamp in your way. Very solid in all regards- good weight, super rigid, easy to adjust and use in many ways.

I’m giving 5 stars in fairness because these are well made tools. They look like they will work well. I caution you about one thing though: the “HD” descriptor. I’ve returned them because of this reason. These should be listed as medium duty.

Accurate description, very nice set of 4 clamps. I prefer this type for welding as there are no rubber parts to melt and fail.

Based on the description I figured these would be harbor freight copies, but they're quite a bit thinner. The harbor freight clamps are about 28mm across the long side while these are like 22mm. The casting and plating are a bit rougher than the HF clamps as well so they stick a bit more when you're trying to adjust them open with a light clamping load. The only part equal to the HF clamps is the jaw depth and max clamp range. If you need heavy duty clamps for metal work you should get the HF version. I'd give them a 3.5/5 if that was an option. I try to be reasonable with the cost/quality and at the november sale price of $60 they're a decent value since I was looking for clamps to modify into weld table clamps. I saw this clamp in Home Depot first, and after looking at several other brands, I went on Amazon and purchased a set of four. They are super well-made, and worth every cent I paid. Can't say enough, other than 'Made in Germany'.
