Bought this pack for an old Elwell 4 1/2 lb felling axe that was dumped and left to rust. When found, the head was on upside and it was quite badly rusted (not deep, but full coverage). It has also been used as a hammer so the back of the axe head was slightly mis-shaped. After a good soak in vinegar, a solid 45 mins on the wire brush wheel and edges tidied on the bench grinder it is starting to look like new again. I polished up with working from a 80 grit paper to 3000 grit, giving it a mirror shine. The handled was in ok condition so just a quick sand and boiled linseed treatment and I was ready to re-fit. I used an oak wedge running from the toe to the butt and then inserted one of the smallest of these three wedges at 90 degrees to the oak wedge. So far so good! The head has stayed fixed in place and i've not have any problems with in since!

No son fáciles de encontrar en tienda, por lo que fue una sorpresa encontrarlas en Amazon. Algunos comentarios hablan de que es necesario afilarlas para que se claven, pero en mi caso las coloqué sin ningún problema en varias azadas y hasta el momento sujetan perfectamente.

bien mais trop épais à mon goût pour les plus gros modèles car il faut faire une plus grosse entaille et diminuer la partie qui dépasse à la meuleuse une fois enfoncé dans le manche!
