These are lovely and sturdy, but when the clasp is open it's very small if you want to hook onto a rod. I use it the other way around, hooking onto the rod with the open end and hang clothes on hangers on the closed side. They are versatile and I am keeping them.

I bought these to hold down my kitchen window items on a tension rod so the hooks don’t fall if I’m in a hurry. The spring is sturdy. They also do well for my cleaning products on the metal shelf. It’s a first world problem when S hooks fall as you’re grabbing the item you need. So far they are versatile. It does what it’s supposed to do, so it performs well. However the size did not fit the wide part of my tension rod, that’s why I have the silver S hooks on the right side of my window. I’m still happy!

I purchased these hooks in order to hang my husband's ball caps in our closet. I like that one end has a closure so the hook does not slip off of the bar that I have them hanging on. Very handy!
