However, I have some issues with how this particular story was edited and priced. The content of volume 1 felt to me like it's only the setup of the main characters with no significant story development. You are left wondering about where the story is going. Normally I wouldn't mind that, but at such a premium price (30+ CAD) it does feel like you are cheated of value and your sole motivation to buy the second volume is your faith in the author. The editor could have easily fix this by reducing the price of volume 1, or make the first volume long enough to get to a point where you can start appreciating the plot.

Impecable art and design in this slow pacing horror story. Great book.

Kazuo Umezz ist bekannt für seine Horror Manga. Der vorliegende Band 1 hat zwar eine düstere Grundstimmung, baut aber die Handlung erst auf, heißt wirklich gruselig wird es möglicherweise erst in den nächsten Bänden. Wir verfolgen hier den Schüler Satoru, der begeistert von Robotern ist. Da die Firma seines Vaters jetzt über 2 dieser Maschinen verfügt, steigert sich seine Faszination so weit, bis es sogar dazu kommt, dass er einen der Roboter programmiert. Viz Media hat sich hier, wie auch schon bei den vorherigen Umezz Veröffentlichungen, Mühe gegeben eine hochwertige Sammlerausgabe zu schaffen. Cover und Buchrücken sind mit Spotlack verziert, der rechteckige Aussparungen aufweist, was zu einem ganz eigenen Effekt führt, wenn man das Buch gegen das Licht hält.
