Simple to install and works well
Used this to hardwire some computers at home to my broadband router. Simple to use, just plug a network cable from your router into one port and then cables from the other ports to your devices and bingo, it works everything out. Does have a power lead that needs plugging in too. Very easy to set up and gives my devices the best internet connection I can have.

Great switch
This switch is amazing for the price. Originally, I was looking at a gigabit TP-Link switch for around double the price (and part of me would still prefer that one) but then I saw this 100Mbps one for half the price, and my Internet connection doesn't surpass 100Mbps at the moment anyway so it would have been silly to get the more expensive one. Also, this switch has eight ports as opposed to the five the other had. The switch has yet to display an sign of failure and has been a lifesaver expanding the number of ethernet ports in my bedroom. The only advantage of a gigabit switch over this 100Mbps one for home use would have been for faster peer to peer data transfer, which I don't often do anyway. Overall, a great switch, especially for the cost!

Matches more expensive known brands,at half the cost !
Matches more expensive known brands,at half the cost ! The auto features of this switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance. Highly effective way of splitting your network to multiple pieces of kit. In this day and age, a necessity with all the tech in our homes. Highly recommended over the big named equivalents.

It does what it's meant to do for a cheap item, but screw holes for mounting it would have been nice
You plug your ethernet devices in and lo & behold, you turned one ethernet port into many. I already have an ethernet hub in my home downstairs to connect wired devices, by using this one upstairs (which is connected to the downstairs hub) I can further split my wired network upstairs without more cables climbing up the stairs. USEFUL INFO FOR NEW BUYERS: - Even though it is a 10 port hub, technically you can only plug up to 9 devices into it, because one port will be committed to connecting to the internet modem/router. - This device does need to be plugged into the mains. If you need to plug more than 9 devices in or you want to split your wired network into complex arrangements, note that every device you buy will be consuming electricity - This device is cheap and plasticy. It doesn't weigh very much, which means that unlike heavier computer accessories, you cannot just place it neatly on a desk, plug it in and expect it to stay sat still. The stiff nature and weight of ethernet cables as they try to unbend themselves will pull it about and reorient it or even cause it to fall off the desk. Furthermore, it does not have any screw holes so you cannot easily mount it to something. You might have to try mounting it with a strong glue or sticky tape, or place something heavy on top of it to keep it in place.

Really Useful Product
I use this product at my workplace to expand ethernet capacity and this product helps a lot as you can connect one of the ports with a Ethernet Cable to the Ethernet port in a floorbox or wall box and the connect the computers with ethernet cables to this Ethernet Switch. The internet is also very stable when multiple computers are connected. This was very good value for what i needed it for
