Quality Everything, You Won't Be Sorry
First off I have had few microscopes both digital and manual, cheap and expensive, this is a professional level scope, the quality is the same as some of the $2,000 to $3000, and you don't get scope eye's, this is an amazing microscope with untouchable customer service (they are glad to help and/ or answer any questions you could possibly have about there microscopes, they will go to the end of the world for you, or whatever is needed to make a happy customer, not saying what or how but they did for me, what most company's wouldn't do or go through). I love it.... Perfect clarity of the monitor, ease of use. Clear understandable english instructions, remote control included, slides and light box. Be gentle and handle it nicely, has 3 different lenses of different powers (in my pictures i only use 1 lens, it has a nice zoom range), (get immersion oil for extreme viewing) you also zoom and focus, (2) incrediblely Brite l.e.d. lights that you can dim and brighten and it comes with a adjustable l.e.d. halo light, i also got the extended arm to reach out over my work area and needed the base for away work/ travel (large sturdy base. Nice), i made waterproof carry case out of pelican box, i took shipping box and inserted it into pelican box, as pictured, extremely protected. Customer service alone deserves 5 stars, all in all this was hands down the best experience of any company on Amazon, i have purchsed from. I would give 6 stars but can only do 5 stars, high quality, beautiful microscope. Get this microscope............ and get the extendable arm, it is worth it's weight in gold!

Great for soldering electronis surface mounted components.
Came without any missing or defective parts. Setup very quickly and works great. I bought it for help with electronics soldering. It works great for that purpose. I was going to buy a conventional stereo microscope for this purpose but this product fits the bill better I think. Allows you to take images/movies to document your work. This unit is much lower cost than a conventional type of microscope I was considering. I am very happy with this purchase.

TomLov DM602 Flex used for SMD PCB solder, desolder, inspection
I’m a retired engineer who has a lot of soldering experience dating back to high school when I built my entire ham radio station from Heathkits. But that was all thru-hole parts which are almost “Dino” sized compared to these tiny SMD (Surface Mount Devices) used on my custom SBC’s (Single Board Computer) designs today. Working on these tiny SMD boards has been a monumental pain – having to buy new fabrication, rework, and inspection tools, and learn lots of new skills – still learning. SMD soldering and desoldering technique takes practice and time to develop. This microscope is very helpful to see what you are doing. Bought the TomLov DM602 Flex which I’m reviewing here. It uses three separate lenses: A, L, and D. So, you do have to change lenses for different types of work; but most people are probably doing a single type of work most of the time and don’t have to change the lens. Magnification based on 28” LCD monitor with 3x digital zoom (all info from their datasheet) Lens Mag Purpose FOV Work Dx A 2-700x coins, stamps 8mm 12-275mm 0.37-10” focal length L 60-200x PCB solder 21mm 90-240mm 3.5-9.5” focal length D 1000-1500x biological slides 3.6mm 4-5mm My custom SBC’s use one or two 100 pin LQFP MCU’s with 0.5mm pitch pins which can be very difficult to manually solder onto the PCB for assembly. I use a reflow oven or send to a PCB Assembly shop for initial assembly. Any rework requires removing the MCU – a hot air gun with square tip sized to just fit over the MCU works great. Manually soldering a new MCU down is much harder. I have a whole menagerie of hand held, and head mounted magnifiers - all of which work. The DM602 is the most expensive but the best of the lot. The Flex design allows me to use my existing PCB holders from PCBite and Newacalox for any rework. The L lens is great, so is the LED ring light. The L lens allows lots of working space between the bottom of the lens and the PCB (at both max & min focus dx). The Flex design is a little wobbly, a wider base clamp would help considerably, but besides that it works well. It does take up considerable room on the workbench. Mounting it on the back of the workbench would be ideal, but not an option for me. The two power cords could be bundled more efficiently. I’m also going to order the fixed DM602 Pro base so I can use the microscope + lens + ring light with either the Flex or fixed Pro base. When feasible, the Pro base will take up less room, and be more stable. I think this microscope + both bases allows the most effective use.

Perhaps a better option is to get a camera and a separate screen.
