Fantastic list to have on hand of areas to utilize, I was able to highlight ones that work for my needs, as well as mark them on the included maps. Very helpful for times where reception is nonexistent out on the road.

It's got all the sites in areas with which I'm familiar., and more. My only complaint is that the maps lack pertinent information. It doesn't show roads to many sites and sites only have numbers, no names. Therefore, the map indexes should be sorted by number. Not by name.

This book & the National Forest Camping book have been my go to for finding mostly dispersed (free) camping. Both books give GPS co-ordinates, details as to accessibility, if it is tent camping, good for RVs, etc & tell you if there is water access & if there are toilets or showers available. There is also a phone number given to call & I have always talked to a live person every time I've called, or left a message & had my calls returned within 24 hours. I am very impressed with the information these books give. The drawback are the maps. They are not as detailed as I would like.

I ordered this mainly because I kept seeing users in several boondocking groups on social media praising it. This is a collection of gps coordinates of established camping areas, as in fire rings and marked posts, but still primitive. We found it to be incomplete in areas that allow more general dispersed camping(ie: anywhere there is NOT a sign prohibiting camping). Overall, we find out usual methods of researching via satellite images and several apps to be better for us. This book may end up being useful in some places,so we will keep it in the camper just in case. I am giving 3 stars only because it is well organized and could be useful for someone new to boondocking who is still learning how to find sites. If you are on the fence about this, I would recommend just skipping this one.

I have recommended this book to many campers, when you are out of cell phone signal you might be out of luck without it. I have camped in many of the locations listed, the coordinates and descriptions were all correct.

This paperback is great. Really nice to have in addition to all the camping phone apps. There's also one for the Forest Service sites. Two thumbs up!

Excellent reference instead of internet, easier when there is no cell service

Very useful, would buy again if needed.

Difficult to use…you still need to search on gps. We don’t really use this book.
